That’s why I have no desire to do group rides. Too many idiots put your life at risk. Really you have to be able to trust the folks you ride with,This is a perfect example why.

That’s scary, I think group rides across the world need to have a no left lane cruising rule. I know there’s a few bike night groups that have this rule after some close calls. Glad nothing bad happened🥵

its usually always the inexperienced riders that pull these maneuvers. They are slow in the corners, but straight lines is where they believe they can shine, thinking they are impressing someone. The experienced riders tend to let their egos come into play when in the twisties and they notice another rider behind them closer than they believe that rider should be and start pushing their own limits. Then you got the inbetweeners. Never the fastest in the canyons but not the slowest, and generally pretty neutral on straight highway/city streets. But they always seem to be the one who always crashes on group rides.

The closest calls I’ve had while riding have been because of other motorcyclists. There’s Fucking maniacs that should never be allowed on 2 wheels out there

Real riders know not to pass at that speed when in the same lane.
