Here we go with the "American Style" foods again. I'm American and in my 54 years, I have NEVER had chicken coated in pancake mix. Point being...this isn't typical American cuisine.

Only Iceland could create such an item.

First time in Iceland yesterday for ages, think i might have picked these up. Picked up some of the nik nak chicken things, just a gimmick. I noticed a lot of the frozen stuff was "3 for £10" I swear the last time i was in there it was "3 for £5"

I was in Iceland this afternoon and saw these and was contemplating whether to get them and in the end I got them!! I wish I had watched this review before I bought them cause based on your review, I would not have got them! Well now I have them, I will try them but I guess I won’t like them because your reviews are usually SPOT ON! Keep up the great content! X🐓

Pancake chicken wings, interesting never heard of this but i bet lovely.

There's something odd about the combo, but I was salivating with these. One to try for you good self, if you have a waffle maker, beat 2 eggs a hand full of cheese add some thin cooked ham and make a Chaffle. Shouldn't work but it's so good.

the coating would probably be better on the strips or chunks

Great vid again baldy, but have you tried doing a vid on the japanese coating on thin chicken strips? They are the Yutaka japanese style breadcrumb, might be a bit off work to create the vid but i've heard they are really nice.

Gareth I like all your videos. The first thing I look at is the lovely pictures made by your children on the refrigerator. No one in America eats pancake chicken. Put some spicy pepper sauce on them. Pepper sauce makes life great. Cheers mate.

You could do these yourself, making your own batter mix, and adding the herbs or spices that you like. Not sure if I'd like these, although I do like sweet and sour chicken

its good that iceland have included air fryer temps etc , i wonder when other shops will catch up. i did see those but i was the same as you (whether they would be nice etc) so i decided to pass , though i do like tempura coating on chicken and prawns.

Already made my own gaz used the pancake mixture you by from lidle from when they do the American style food just mix the American pancake mixture add a drop of the maple syrup grandkids like them never seen these before it's just something I thought of doing last year you can make a big batch for a fiver no way a would pay 4 quid wow like you said when's it going end even asda at it all the best for the new year gaz

I doubt that these will be around for very long, if people think that they are not worth buying again. You know it's time to walk away, if you see a roast beef dinner with custard.

Good morning Gareth! Another day and another fine review of stuff wot I've never heard of. Back in the last century, am I correct in thinking that said wings were once discarded, as they were considered of poor food value? I'm going to have to try some in order to see what L.S.D. potential there is "they're playing on my mind" says thee, I need to try them! VBW x

Have to say they look like they would pair well more with a blue cheese dip rather than a chilli dip due to the " cakieness " of the pancake , might even give these a go if it wasn't for the price tag . Again valuable , insightful review for a tried before you buy and chuck your money at any old sh*te . Thank You .

Just under 50p for one chicken wing (well half a wing because they're not full wings) is pricey when you have a certain amount of cash to feed your family. Only 9 half wings you'd have to buy at least 2 -3 bags for a family of four. Thanks Gareth another great video 👍

As an ex-pat living in Canada, people in the Uk generally don't eat chicken wings. Not like the US & Canada. Not a thing. Last time I was in Aldi in the UK 2kgs of chicken wings at Aldi were £1.89 - no tax! Better made from fresh in th oven, bit of oil, salt and pepper 375 @ 45 mins

But what is weird? Is it the flavour of the batter? The non-crispy coating? It can't be the chicken because you were enthusiastic about the chicken. I shall for now stick to my favourite chicken wings, namely Iceland chicken wings oriental style or the BBQ ones.

Possibly over engineered as the pancake and maple syrup would be an aquired combination. Probably a spicy pakora coating would be a better batter. Think I will chicken out of trying these. 👍

I always check country of origin. Nowadays in Iceland they source far too much abroad, for a couple of years they've sold fresh tomatoes and mushrooms grown in Poland of all places then trucked here. These retailers need to back Britain.

Can get 10 salt and chilli wings from our local Chinese for £4
