In this episode on Tekniq, we shall walk through the meticulous process of formulating modules of blocks made of lightweight foam concrete

This is foamed cement, it is not nearly as strong as regular concrete but it is light weight and very insulative. It appears that they are adding in fibers that help reinforce it as it dries to make it stronger by resisting cracking as it is drying but it is still not nearly as strong as what most think of when we think of concrete. The thing that makes this light and insulative is that there are millions of tiny bubbles in it that create air pockets, this is done with foam created by a chemical similar to dish soup that is added to the mix but unlike regular concrete this has no stone aggregate or large rocks and little if any sand just portland cement, water and the foam mixture that contains the air bubbles. The density and strength can vary from extremely light and weak to a medium density and strength and that medium strength is what I suspect the mixture in this video is made from.

The Steve is a silver-spoon baby obviously. Why? Safety boots protect noncompetent (stupid) workers and put more money in boot-making and boot-certifying business-owners' pockets than into the workers'. Yes, our western civilization has the boots, but no one knows how to make the affordable bricks any more. The Roman Empire collapsed when silver-spoon babies started to run it.

If you have an option to use Light Weight Cement Blocks and Clay Bricks, always go with the Clay Brick option, Ive owned 2 houses that use these blocks and cracks show up in the walls every few years, Ive just repaired about 8 of them this time.

It’s apparently hard to do, so they get credit for that, but lots of people make this (believe it’s called aircrete with the foam) and my guess is that they weren’t the inventors. It apparently takes just the right mixture and handling to work.

That's in Asia,if you visit a factory in Europe,it's different. I had the oportunity to visit a cellular blocks factory in Medgidia, Romania. there were 5 employees sitting at buttons, you coudn't figure out who's the CEO and who's the employee....All the production work you saw in this video was made in like 10 seconds, automatically. They were pouring in some hidraulic containers, wich later would open releasing a 5 cubic metres block on a machine wich was cutting it in smaller blocks, also loading them on pallets of 1 cubic meter each....impressive.

Get a strong dishwashing liquid. Make a mixture of half a cup of soap to 1 liters of water. Whip the mixture with a mixer or a whisk to create a thick foam. Use the mixture to replace water in the mixing of cement and sand. I use this to method to make light plant pots. To make a large batch pour the soap to the water you intend to use for mixing cement. The brick is easy to break. A little fibreglass is added to increase strength.
