Lil Uzi Vert’s “XO TOUR Llif3” is one of the biggest songs of the year. Over production from JW Lucas and TM88, Uzi Vert rages about relationship troubles with his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Byrd, among other things. He premiered the track in London while opening for The Weeknd’s Starboy: Legend of the Fall 2017 world tour, and the song’s title pays homage to The Weeknd’s label XO.

Trap beats do sound the best imo but they are often depicted as low effort in the producer community.
@HaarbergMusic
@HaarbergMusic 7 жыл бұрын
They can be as authentic as cheapskate as well, meaning that some beats can be produced with musical effort on the keyboard yet also just tones added in Gross Beat with added rythm or straight off sampled. The worst thing with this is as you said that the low effort stamp still remains on the genre regardless what you've been doing in reality. Same could be said with some EDM though, only that the arrangements and automation differs in an extent. Although for an example Zaytoven beats are clearly handworked and you definitely hear the effect it shows about what can be done with the genre, only too bad with the prejudgements. Nothing gets you in beat more than dope ass trap joints for real.

Shamwow fax, the problem is tho if you mix on a beats pill then yeah, your mix sounds amazing on the beats pill. But when you play it in the car all of a sudden all you can hear is bass. I think it’s best to start on a really good setup, then slowly downgrade to phone speakers. I personally like my mix to sound the best in apple earbuds, a ton of people listen on those
@DRAcapellas
@DRAcapellas 3 жыл бұрын
@@sabres_fan7467 Exactly. Mix/Master on monitors, good speakers and headphones. Then... you try the different mixes on everything, laptop speakers, earbuds etc. The most important thing is knowing your headphones/monitor speakers so that you know what frequencies are boosted/lacking and you need to compensate for them. That saves a lot of time.

Find a piano. Push ANY KEY. Then count up 3 notes from there, then count up 4 notes you will have a Minor Chord. Say for example you did that with the key of C. So hold down the C key on a piano. Then count up 3 semitones (which are each individual piano keys including the black keys) you will land on D Sharp (the black key to the right of D). Then from D Sharp you count up 4 Semitones and you will land on the note of G. Now take those three keys on the piano and hold them all down at once. You will hear a Chord of C Minor! Now do the same but instead count up 4 semitones from C this time and you'll land on E and then count up 3 keys and you will land on G again. Now hold these three notes down and you will hear C Major :) You can do this with any key on the piano. Minor Chords are generally 0 - 3 - 7 (the first note you press is considered 0. So in our example above the note of C was our number 0. D Sharp was our number 3, and G was our number 7) Major Chords are generally 0 - 4 - 7. Try it out :)

I think the ‘click’ sound sample is a classic phone being picked up and hung up, maybe... ☎️

The click reminds me of a tape cassette being put into a player. I just can't get it out of my head.

part of what i think is special about this beat is the way the beginning kinda jumps. like theres the plain melody and then the percussion jumps in a split second before u expect it to.
