It'd be cool if you actually showed a new "efficiency" focused guide for free to play accounts.

Think the reason is because you have the characters to splurge on. the average f2p player only have a few characters to work with thus reducing the amt of focus and materials to boost em all up

f2p player dont even have that many stuff to make mistake... even if we want we dont have that many thing to upgrade with free gems this worry just sarcasm

So basically ascend all your gacha characters because you dont read between the lines and have no perception so you dont pick up on the theme/grind of the game....but throw $4000 at it since you can write it off as a job cost during taxes.... Xiangling and Barbara are the non-limited ones that you can get through progression whilst Fischl is the only limited character that can be obtained from the event (which has now ended). Although, they might make Fischl obtainable through progression like Xiangling and Barbara... we can only really hope.

This. I agree with this. I've played free these past months and I enjoy it a lot. I know because I whaled my other game.

You will eventually hit grind wall basically leaving you with only daily quests, events and such. Though it's an enormous amount of effort and time to get to this point especially with all new regions getting added to the game

I think 1-2 5 star characters in two months is pretty far fetched. I'd say in like three-four and that too if you play each day

@@salontafel100 I haven't played in a while, but she was pretty good when I last looked. You just need a battery to keep her skill available, and she's a burst powerhouse. She can be a little tricky play, as you do need decent timing to get the most out of her skill, but if you get it right you can one-shot a lot of enemies while nullifying a moment's worth of incoming damage. I never got the battery I needed, but if you have Fischl and decent reaction time, she might be fun for you to play around with. If you prefer something more straightforward, I'd avoid her altogether. If you just need a 2h to break shields and geo, there are better options.

Yeah, if people literally just follow the in-game adventurer's guide they should get the idea that they should be heavily investing into levelling/ascending 3 characters/weapons maximum.

@@ginakutagawa865 replying in case you legitamately haven't heard this term before which would be surprising, but anyways, grinding stuff in a game essentially means like how do I explain this if you're grinding for berries, you're getting all the berries you can. if you're grinding the story you're getting it out of the way, grinding a boss is doing a boss over and over for drops. etc. if you've heard of "farming" its essentially the same terminology

lol don’t waste your time on getting good weapons in chests, they won’t show up. Just craft the 4* weapons, the prototypes are usually solid with every character.

He is being slightly dramatic but I get what he's saying, the daily limit does seem to make grinding quite a bit more annoying late game, imagine if say, in kh2 to get the Ultima it took actual weeks because of daily loot mechanics similar to Genshin, people would complain just as much because while the Ultima is good if it took genshin levels of grinding it would almost not be nearly as worth it just for Mp Hastega and somewhat higher strength and magic (basically I agree he is dramatic but at the same time I kinda see what he's getting at with how much of a limiting pain it can be to grind in late game)

@@pancingikan8348 follow the main questline but don't be afraid to explore as well, early game while teleporting seems nice you'll want to walk so you can possibly run into more chests and off the road areas and such so you can get more gear and primogems, also to my knowledge the beginner pull for characters guaruntees 2 for the price of 16 wishes (the one that shows Noelle, it should guaruntee her on the first 8 pull and one other character on the second 8 pull), but the best tip is to just kinda have fun y'know, don't worry too much about the meta in my opinion because what good is the meta if you don't have fun right? Domains are also good to run if you need a boost in certain materials, Amber specifically is also a good character despite what many say because she's your first ranged option and can light puzzle torches and such with ease, her baron bunny also can take a bit of heat off you if you need to focus on takin down ranged enemies

@Mi Ke yep, you're absolutely right, but besides skill I'd say knowing the game enough to get weapons or artifacts that combined together can be almost God like is also important. For me it's another benefit of being F2P, I'm forced to explore the game and quests and not just spend in the gacha mechanic.

I go by this rule, level everyone up to 20, the ones that you see using up to 40. Main team focus on getting the levels between 60 to 70. Weapons, Focus on only one of the types of weapons. Unless your main team has 2 bows, only level 1 of them. Use your level 3 with refinements. The levels 4, unless broken by default, will be weaker in comparison.

@@Erox006 He's not saying he doesn't have good characters. You need to pay attention more to what hes saying instead of bashing on him. He's saying, don't waste all your materials on people that you don't use because you won't ever get those resources back. (Things like Mora, ascension material, talent material.) You get a lot of materials at the start of the game but these material run dry as you start reaching end game content. Sure he can eventually farm for those materials, but 120 resin, a day is not enough to consistently farm all the material you need. All hes telling us is to do is to focus on one whole team. Not to waste any un necessary mora / material on people you aren't playing because resources and money does try out. 120 resin, each domain costing 20. Elite costing 40, and bosses costing 60. Which means in theory you only get 6 domains OR 3 elite bosses OR 2 boss domains a day. You are losing out on character strength by wasting material / resources. Everyone here is saying "Oh, you should be thankful for what you have because i'll never get there". You aren't there because you haven't put in the time to get as far as he has. He may have paid thousands of dollars for 5 star characters but you don't need them. They are a nice to have. Even a decked single focused team could be stronger than his 5 star team just as he said.

This is true! I dont get a lot of five stars, but I like Beidou’s playstyle so I upgraded her to 90 and shes my main dps. She does the same amount of damage as my Hu Tao and Beidou’s damage is more consistent.

Yeah, this isn't like fire emblem, where certain characters start off over levelled and some don't. For some reason, thieves used to be some of the worst characters to use in FE. In path of radiance, Sothe cannot ever promote, meaning he is stuck at level 20, whereas everyone else can get to level 40. In FE blazing sword, you get 2 thieves and you have to pick only one thief who can advance from level 20 to 40, since there is only one "fell contract" item in the whole game. At least in GI, nobody is stuck at level 20 permanently or you have to pick one character to get past level 20 while others stay where they are. Even the worst characters can go above level 20 in GI.

May I ask what is genshin experience? Is the story really important? Like do you have to understand all the conversations and story to enjoy the game? Or is it all about the adventure and getting strong along the way?

@@archi7005 It's a mix of both. The story quests help you to be able to do certain events plus you get to learn the lore, while the adventure and strength gained helps to progress the story as the battles/quests get harder.

@@archi7005 in addition to the answer above - there are some locations that you can’t unlock or explore unless you play the story. so while playing and exploring in such an open world, there’s also a great backstory, fun side quests and interesting characters!

It’s not sad, because he never played a Gatcha game before, and that’s normal. What not’s normal is when you already played a ton of Gatcha games but STILL makes these mistakes, now that is sad.

I reccomend equally Upgrading every character you have that way you can switch freely with out having to compensate for Lvls of characters and weapons

It's a good idea to level up your characters to ascend them since now with the update that's coming you can get aquaint fates by ascending your characters

I never rerolled, and i have pretty bad luck, i didnt get any good characters besides Xiangling till rank 27, when i finally got Fischl, this guy cant complain man. The other characters i have are Ninguang, Noelle and Bennet...

Yeah its kind of extreme, especially with the fact he has some people at 70 already which is good, its meant to become a grind at this point where you have a checklist of things to do everyday with the goal to spend all your resin farm all the free advancement mats, max refresh on resin and then repeat the next day, or work on something else like farming the Oculus or chests. The only real thing hes probably hurting to push through is abyss due to his investments but thats meant to be difficult and a slower progression.

@@deziired1866 I've noticed a lot of the dialogue in the game atm is a little broken when you choose the boy, the story seems like it's designed to be played with the girl... hope that gets patched in the future, was a little immersion breaking

@@spiritvdc5109 No, the story is designed to play with the boy. If you play as the girl, some dialogue in the game will call u in he/him instead of she/her. I can also go on but I might spoil some bit of the story.

That's just not true, fuck up your build in poe and you'll have to reroll. Plenty of pve rpg games where wrong choices will fuck you up. (yes, you can reroll your passive tree but it'll be extremely costly and realistically not possible if you're at an early stage)

Yeah he can just keep playing for a couple more weeks and then get more material, what's this obsession with wanting everything maxed level straight away? Just play the game and grow your account over time, people need to stop stressing about grinding and micromanaging everything. This is just how gacha games work, they're not designed to be "grinded" 10 hours a day like Runescape or WoW or other games. They're designed so you can login everyday and play for 1 hour a day (excluding major updates) over a period of multiple years and over time you'll get all of your resources and levels and characters. If that's not appealing then Genshin Impact is the wrong game to play, the sooner people understand this the less frustrated they'll be

@Chidori then why are you on about this game? Game has content. The enviroment is great, music is great, visualize are great to look at. Its basically breath of the wild so people can go around and explore. The npc and their dialogues are great too! Like with Timmie on the bridge.

Kamihime Project used to do that. They got rid of that though. War of Venus kept it's RNG upgrade system for runes though. Elsword however... that was depressing when you seen your progress get wiped out. Epic Seven was also RNG as hell with it's equipment sub stats and even main stats in 3 cases...

Or Black Desert, where your gear can revert back to crappier quality or break while you're trying to upgrade it 🤷‍♂️
