Yes, they launched the forest area first, then the desert. Also it seems like they stepped back a little with the puzzles in Sumeru😅. Its really more on exploring the different areas, especially the underground. I believe we are still expecting an expansion of the Sumeru map as of this writing.

Lyney is a DPS yes :) And as for furina basically: - Charge attack changes forms - Black clothes = Damage - White clothes = Healing - Ult boosts damage, When you lose/gain HP it stacks up (Jean is best with her)

I do recommend watching footage of 3.4 at least, especially the last segment (it's the part in the trailer when you see Traveler and other Liyue chars sitting at a table). A few chars show up that just elevate that scene to gold and one of my fav moments in the game. It's also the reason I am mad at myself for missing last year's Lantern Rite lol. I like taking breaks from the game from time to time so I do avoid burnout. You're right about the Archon quests for each region being longer. Both Sumeru and Fontaine have 5 acts in them. Prior 3 regions only had 3 acts I think. Also, and this is coming from someone who does love puzzles, I wasn't a huge fan of some of the puzzles in Inazuma too because of how obscure they were, like it was hard to figure out the patterns of them, I'll say that Sumeru did a better job with their puzzles. Fontaine, and more recently new Liyue area called Chanyu Vale, have better puzzles than Sumeru. But this is my personal opinion though.

Yea most people agree that Sumeru is more fun to explore tho one location is locked behind a really long quest. The "plot" has started moving since Sumeru, While Yes more action technicly happens in Fontaine as you saw Sumeru drops some heavy plot important lore too. Also we are now ona filler patch but somewhere this year we will get Natlan and Arlecchino the new big bad fatui is PROBEBELY dropping next patch with yet another Fontaine expansion

If you're a Genshin quitter, I think it's best to not come back. Hoyo's best series is Honkai, so if you want good story writing, feel the passion behind each chapter in the story, and better rewards you can check those out. Genshin will not give you the satisfaction of giving you what you want and not changing/fixing any issues you want changed, and the game has been disappointing me for the last several years. Things just feel more and more lazy the more I play the game, the main story is something that's worth coming back for, but that’s pretty much it. Genshin is a casual PG rated kid's game with gambling, play it with a grain of salt.
