Recipe for: Gentle Fluffy Cotton Buns With Sesame. Suitable for sandwiches and hamburgers!
Necessary products:
For the dough:
700 g of sifted flour
350 ml. warm fresh milk
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
7 grams of dry yeast
1 egg + 1 egg white
40 ml. oil
60 g of cow butter at room temperature
To spread:
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons of fresh milk
For sprinkling:
Sesame
Method of preparation:
Add the sugar and yeast to the warm milk. Stir to dissolve the sugar and leave for 10 minutes to activate the yeast.
Add the salt to the flour and mix. Form a well and add the activated yeast, egg and egg white, oil and butter. Start kneading until you get a smooth, soft dough. Do not add extra flour, just dust the counter lightly. The dough should be soft and elastic.
Shape the dough into a ball, oil a large bowl and transfer it into it. Cover the bowl with a lid and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
After an hour, remove the dough to the counter, knead it slightly and divide it into 8 equal parts. Form into 8 balls and arrange them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Cover with a towel and leave to rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180°C without fan.
Add the fresh milk to the yolk and beat. Brush the buns with the yolk mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake the loaves for 25-30 minutes in the lower part of the oven.
Once the loaves are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool.
