I traveled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to film in the Maison Francis Kurkdjian Boutique in the famous Pavilion Shopping Centre.
MFK has the most amazing niche perfume collection and way too many classics for just a single episode; so here's episode TWO (of three)

Gentle Fluidity Silver is a masterpiece. Been wanting to get a full bottle for ages. Can’t get enough of the stuff. Masculine Pluriel is a lovely scent as well. It’s not a “WOW” scent imo, but just a very very pleasant and smooth modern fougere that would make a great signature scent for a professional type person. Very classy, unlikely to offend but still interesting. Not a show stopper though. Amyris Homme on the other hand, smells like a cheaper designer fragrance to me. I’ve smelled this smell so many times before and you do not need to spend this kind of money to get this kind of scent imo.

One of my favorite houses ! MFK top 5 on my list. They perform amazing in Costa Rica weather !! Pura Vida Marcelo!! Piano, Piano !!

I was wearing Masculine Puriel throughout Malaysia, stands up really well in heat and balmy weather; it didn’t easily sweat off. Good to hear from you Adz

Gentle fluidity silver is my second best complimented fragrance from this house. And it lasts about 8 hours on skin..

I think its hard not to love the perfume from house of MFK as each perfumes has its own identity…and i love most of them…good selections of MFK to talk about for this sharing from this house and my personal view is also suitable for asian climate…

Masculin Pluriel is a favorite of mine, love Lumière Noire too... lucky I've found a good opportunity a few months before it got discontinued ! I also own and like Amyris Homme & APOM... I have to be careful whhen spraying the latter though, it quickly moves from beautiful to cloying 😅

I have decants of Gentle Fluidity Silver and Masculine Pluriel. I really like Gentle Fluidity Silver - going off of memory it's very balanced and pleasant. The opposite of challenging. Very elegant. I didn't know that Gentle Fluidity Gold was constructed with the exact same notes, only to different effect. And that it was essentially the sister companion to Silver. I'm waking up now in the USA and after my shower will make Silver my SOTD. I like fougere-esq fragrances so Masculine Pluriel came on my radar screen. From memory I like it, but only a like.

The master pieces in my opinion: the original Oud EDP (no Extrait, no Satin), Baccarat 540 EDP, A La Rose EDP (Femme) and Masculin Pluriel (this is so good after a fresh shave). I couldn’t test Fluidity Silver/ Gold (but tests are on their way). I also need to test Amyris Homme Extrait, as the EDP is kind of generic in my opinion and not very long lasting. I can’t stand Grand Soir, the smell is not for my nose.

Thank you Amir; awesome to connect with you and a massive THANK YOU for your support👊🏽 I don't own the EDT. Because I wanted the higher oil concentration I chose the Extrait; I find that this one has a rich woody scent that lasts hours on me....which is what I wanted. Sorry my friend that I couldn't be of greater help with this.

I know you also have both Masculin Pluriel and Victrix. Which one do you think has better projection and sillage (I don't care about longevity, so skip that). Therefore, how many do you sprey both?

Max I strongly believe that Gentle Fluidity Silver is comfortably an all year round fragrance. Admittedly it does come alive in summer, but I’ve worn it over winter and it works perfect💫♥️ Good to hear from you mate👊🏽

I’m really shocked at how bad the aqua cologne forte line is - none of them work well on me and smell bad. GFS is nice but nothing special, masculin pluriel is a great scent and amyris for me is fantastic creation.

I too was surprised that the Cologne versions just didn't do it for me. I'm a bit of sucker for all things MFK, but I found that these didn't have the complexity of their siblings. My vote is with the 'forte' range; these are wonderfully complex and long lasting. Interesting that GFS is 'ok' for you...really love this one, maybe because this is one of my very early buys into niche (have a soft spot for it....just love the scent profile of this fragrance, brings back really good memories of summer in Melbourne). And yes, you have my full vote for both Puriel and Amyris💫 Great to hear from you @M A; thank you for jumping into the conversation and sharing👊🏽
