A few folk have asked for George's story. Here's whit I know of it, which isnae a lot, but you don't need much imagination tae fill in the blanks. He's made of love and loyalty, and aw he's ever known is betrayal and hatred, a demon snarling back.
Whoever the monsters are and whitever they did tae him they almost ~ but no quite ~ broke this gentle giant, and they very nearly killed him.
His story has changed now, he's one of the very few who will know the good stuff, but so many, even just folk I was asked and knew about, could have taken his bedroom... I get asked if I can help for so many, thousands of lads and lassies every day in this country are dying terrified, confused, scared, never knowing anything except a world of monsters, alone, broken, wondering what they did wrong, why no one loves them back, desperate, pleading, the whole world is made of monsters. Dogs are pure love. Look at whit we dae wi it.
As a species, as individuals, as a society... we haveny half lost oor way. We seriously need tae get oor act the gither.

I'm completely independent and run the sanctuary and hospice by myself, and I've got tae find about £10k a month tae keep everyone fed, warm, happy and healthy. It's a lot of Mammy Worry and I'm so grateful for every penny folk send tae help me pay the bills :)

Something out of nothing; how I built the world's first animal hospice when I'd just been given 6 weeks to live.
My book No Life Too Small is about Maggie, my best dog pal who was the inspiration for the hospice, and my 15 year battle to live while Crohn's Disease slowly and brutally killed me, and stories about the animal folk who live(d) here. It's about life, death, and Love, and how animals never forget how to love or be loved, even when for most of their lives they thought the whole world was made of monsters. My book is my only income and I'd really appreciate if you'd like to order a signed and muddy-paw-printed copy!
Love fae us aw!
