I really appreciate this post, Alexis. Having said goodbye to my beautiful Star-dog in January, my heart’s been breaking every day since. The tears have eased up but there’s a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog shaped hole in my heart that will never, ever be filled. I too don’t know how to live without her. I just stott on through my days feeling immensely empty and alone. And I’m saying ‘never again’ most days, interspersed wi ‘but somebody else might need me…’ Since she’s been ‘gone’ I’ve felt her close. Such is that bond of our hearts, eh. But she’s no ‘here’ and that’s the killer. I’m grateful for your agreement that they’re not that far away, even if they’re no quite close enough. Sending you big love and even bigger squeeshy hugs. You’re an amazing wumman and I hope your other weans, old and new, are a bandage for your aching heart ❤️🩹💔❤️🩹🐾💫

You want me to find the 'owner' who abandoned him with a dangerous and highly contagious disease to starve, be attacked by a dog and in danger on a road ? I don't think so! And if you want to talk legal, then I'd be a bit less concerned with 'theft' and a bit more concerned with the legal case under the Animal Health and Welfare Act for abandonment and creating a situation likely to lead to suffering, failure to notify the APHA of a notifiable disease, and the traffic offence of causing a danger to motorists.
