On a tiny island in Antarctica, there's a post office surrounded by jaw-dropping scenery and 4,000 Gentoo penguins... Every summer, as tourists turn up in their hundreds to see the penguins and to send a postcard, the birds rush to find a partner and raise their young. This extraordinary four-month drama starts when the first penguin hops onto the island and continues until the last one leaves and the post office closes its doors for winter.

Birds love their rocks. Most birds swallow rocks to store them in their gizzard to aid in eating food. Several birds like these penguins use rocks to build their nests. Egyptian vultures use rocks to smash food. Bearded vultures throw their food onto rocks to tenderize them. And then there's the birds that live in rocky places, or ON rocks. I'll say it again, birds love their rocks.

Advantages of using Gentoo: you get to choose exactly which pebbles are included in your nest, and anything you don't need can be left out to free up more system resources. Disadvantages: the entire nest must be compiled from source pebbles, which takes a long time.

Sometimes I wonder. Crocodiles and these penguins have a gift of getting under water without suits.. Probably had we also discovered some way without suits it would have been so easier to face flood and TSUNAMI.
