Hey Timmy, this is what I did to one of my old tandem dumps in Kentucky, I took two old wheel hubs, welded up a bracket from those hubs, bolted them to the frame in front of the tandems, put two wheels with two ole ware out tires on it, made it appear to be a Tri-Axle and then they loaded me with 80,000 I could haul about 26 tons then. Even though it was not a functioning axle, it looked to be, so they could load me then. I’d imagine it’s about the same down in Tennessee.

That used to be the one of the best parts of driving a log truck, empty we got our trailer up on the trucks , makes for a bit smoother ride , when I was young I remember in my hometown of chilliwack bc Canada seeing old cab over logging trucks, 😎

I was at my local quarry getting #57 stone using a military single axle trailer. The loader started dumping stone and watching the trailer for squat, then dump some more. Finally he had dumped the 4 yard bucket, got out of the loader and questioned me on the trailer. He was impressed. What you want to keep the stone from sinking into the dirt is Geotextile fabric. There is a process where Portland cement is tilled into soil, the compacted, called soil cementing and is used on large commercial parking lots. Large paving contractors have the equipment, but if you're hauling your own gravel, it's about a wash on pricing.

My Golden Doodle is 3 years and 6 months old...the companionship and enjoyment she's given me is invaluable! Goes everywhere I go and has logged more hours on the road than many people...and I'm not a truck driver. Just have a job that takes me everywhere! $1,000.00 is a great price and if I lived closer I would probably buy mine a playmate!

Tim, I’m just an old East Texas farm boy and my experience with the bat wing mowers is limited, but one thing I learned pretty quick was to make your turns more sweeping rather than sharp els. I always found that I would use the speed of the truck and have the end gate opened about 5 or 6 inches. If it looked to thin slow the truck down. If it looks to thick speed the truck up to your idea of safety because of the truck rocking side to side and top heavy. You do it enough you will get it. I loved doing tailgating stone. I wish I was still able to still drive. I miss it so bad.
