@73h1337kiwi 'underpowering' is a misleading term. You can use a 100watts amp with a 500 watts cab as long as you don't bust the amp so much that it is sending a clipped signal. Case in point, if it sounds OK then it's OK.

Haha, it would seem that way :P I would start playing bass, only what bothers me about it, is subtlety in left hand technique for example, isn't really rewarded as much as it would be with playing guitar, it seems like you need to use more force with the instrument (for obvious reasons) but after playing guitar for a while, I'm not used to going against the whole 'less is more' rule of thumb in regards to technique, I guess.

Ed, Just curious how would you compare the UBER 410 to the new Focus 410 cabinet? At first blush it seems like the UBER 410 has more bottom. But in your opinion would the Focus 410 cut it as a standalone cab for medium volume, medium size rock gigs? Thanks! Great review.

Hi Ed, Youre the Genz Benz guy :D. I have a 4x10 500w cab (8ohms) and only do small venues + rehearsal. GB shuttle 6.0 head is all the power I need but, as far as the tone goes, do you think I should pay a little extra $ and go for the GB shuttle 9.0 (that extra low you talk about in the vid...) or will I get about the same great tone from the 6.0?

One other thing Ed please. I recently bought this Markbass LM III head. Never tried the GB heads (I live oversees so I gotta buy based on reviews only), do you think Im missing much as to go for the hassle of selling my LM here and buying a GB this time or should I keep it (dont wanna do it if the tone is gonna be about the same, but cant know since I havent tried GB shuttle)? Any experience with LM III? Thanks a lot Ed!

@godfreyjones25 I can tell you just han one and the EQ is really dissapointing. It has incredable volume but I use a pre amp to get the tones i want.

Um, I wouldn't when it means carrying around needlessly excessive amounts of weight. These are amp heads, not cars.

This is the preferred amp for doing 1970's style porn background music. Also, gay-porn backing tracks are best achieved with this amp/cab combination.
