Good point. Also, the Russian approach to this kind of project is to get the customer to pay for the infrastructure costs, and China refused. The pipeline is not going to happen.

Except it has been attacking ships on "their claimed waters" everyday. Also attacks on India several times each year on the mountains. Russia has already given the border river between Russia and North Korea for China, including the rights to dig the riverbanks to allow bigger ships, which they likely read as a sign that Russia is loosing its grip of Asia.

i don't see any data about oil or gas imports from China to Europe. Must be very small amounts, if any...

India does rebrand and resell Russian fuel, but it is still Russia that gets a lot of profit out of it as it sells more.

I doubt they can "turn" on each other, Russia, provided it survives the conflict in Ukraine in its current configuration, won't be a threat to anyone, and China has a mountain of internal problems to deal with.
