They do hire people - but if you watch the credits, they continue to do most of the work themselves - especially video design, direction and editing. It's great to provide employment to others, but personally I'm impressed by how hard working and talented they are. That's art. Lots of detail and work that doesn't necessarily get the glory, but has a massive impact on the final product.

VP have a lot less people employed than you'd think. a camera crew (2 people), if they need a moving camera. if not, they do it themselves. a makeup artist (or two if it's heavy makeup/prosthetics) IF they need advanced makeup, if not, they do it themselves. an audio engineer to master their final audio after mixing it themselves. a production assistant. Kathy (Geoff's wife) is the production manager. that's it. literally everything else they do themselves. set design? that's the person in charge of arranging the song. Director? that's the person in charge of arranging the song. lighting? that's Eli. costuming? that's the person arranging the song (and sometimes Kathy). building the set and taking it back down? VP. mixing the song? VP. editing the video? VP. album art? also VP. they do it all, lol.
