Thanks for coming back to Geoff and Voice Play! You are one of the Voice Play patron favorite reactors and we hope to see more of your very informative, enthusiastic reactions. Please check out Geoff's "Jack's Lament"- it will blow you away! Voice Play has also recently released "Sleeping In The Cold Below" with some beatboxing from Layne that is beyond amazing- everybody would really appreciate your expertise in the breakdown and analysis of the beatboxing in that one.

Let's not forget "The Lion Sleeps Tonight!" It's a blast, and should not be missed! I also agree with your other suggestions!

@GalYes, he has missed a few recent ones that I hope he gets to see. I just mentioned those two as a starting point for an expert breakdown and analysis as they have complex elements to react to. I tried to start with elements his followers can relate to and we would learn something from. I have tried many times to put a Geoff or Voice Play donation request on his live stream but can never get it to go through that site. I would also like to make him aware of J None's solo site as J None does his own original songs that he arranges, sings, layers, raps and beatboxes not to mention his incredible voice range.( "Lion Sleeps Tonight" would also be a good one to focus on some of J None's vocal skills.)J None's talent is not as well known and I am hoping good reactors like Anthony Ray that have a large following of fans of his style of music will help get J None more exposure (Music Recording Network reactor would like to reach out to J None for interview and/or participation in a talent contest he is running).

@@acorrado5529 Agreed. I'm not a huge rap fan, though I appreciate the art, but I love J. None's stuff, because it has such positive energy. Cesar has his own channel too. Some of his stuff reminds me of Adam Lambert's first solo album.

Truly haunting. And heartbreaking. Geoff practises all the time. He is singing every day. There's a good video from Wings of Pegasus exolaining all about those different effeccts and how auto tune is different. Geoff had to learn how to mix his tracks. At one time Layne of VoicePlay used to do all the mixing for the group but it got to be too much for him with all his other work and he asked Geoff to lighten his load. So Geoff learned how. Then due to lockdown Geoff started doing his own channel of solo videos so the mixing came in very handy.

You really need to watch Geoff's cover of "Jack's Lament" from the Nightmare Before Christmas. You won't regret it.

Geoff is very open about the amplifications/modifications that he and VoicePlay will use in the editing of their music. He will say when he's doubled, he will say that he doesn't sing very loud and is right up against the mic. If you look on his channel, he has some live air takes he does on his songs where you can hear exactly what he sounds like with no editing, just singing into his phone. I think you would find those interesting, but I'd have to say, still be prepared to be impressed. 😁

Thank you for another great reaction to Geoff. Speaking of Johnny Cash please do a reaction video to Geoff's solo cover of Folsom Prison Blues. In allof Geoffs solo covers all voices you hear are Geoffs . He loves to clone himself 3 or 4 times to harmonize with himself. Some of his covers you can't see them but al the backing vocals are all Geoff's. Another great solo covers of his is Riders In The Storm.Voice Plays coverof Hell Fire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame is awesome Geoff is the Evil Minister and & he goes super low & rock high at the end. Please do a reaction to Voice Plays cover. Another great Voice Play cover is Queen In 5 Minutes. It is a medley of Queen songs. This one is done with a theatrical style. Please do a reaction video to this one as well.

LOL, so many people watching this pause it within the first five seconds. It IS insanely good, it's my favorite version of this. (No disrespect to Chris Issak, his version is beautiful.) Geoff "Lion's Purr" Castellucci, in his element! And we have the full-face equivalent of the GRE (Geoff's Range Eyeroll), at 8:33, it's the "ARE YOU F-ING KIDDING ME??? deadpan stare!"

I've come back to this as your most recent reaction to Geoff. I hope you see it. I know it has been awhile. I don't know whether you suggested him & VoicePlay to eshplume or not. I only saw that you had Plume on a reaction you had done. IF you did make the suggestion, then I thank you. I have been enjoying his reactions to them (as well as Klown's, but I don't know if you are in contact with him as well. I would hate to assume that just because you are in the same country and somewhat similar in professions that you necessarily know each other). Anyway - thx! It is so cool to have beatboxers like them (and yourself) explain what in the world Layne is doing.

You need to check out Misty Mountains by Peter Hollens and Tim Foust. Tim is the base from Home Free! Mixing and using many layers to make the product phenomenal. And all of the voices and sounds are by voice only. No instruments at all. BTW, you should also check out a singer named Aurora. Do the song It Happened Quiet or The Murder Song live at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert.

Thank you for clarifying engineering from autotune. You’re right. If it isn’t there you can’t make it appear. There’s going to be mixing and filtering on anything that’s recorded. That doesn’t mean that that inherent talent is not there. He has a few pieces on his channel where he talks about singing low. I’m not sure if it’s only on their Patreon page or on the regular page but he does talk about him having to sing really close to the microphone to get Those low tones to even record properly. And either he or Lane have talked about equalizers and Lopez filters and high Pass filters. I have no knowledge but I’ve learned a lot. But I still have very little knowledge😂.

For those of us without any musical training or experience, comments like his help us understand. I don’t process sound the way many people do. It is associated with auditory processing disorder and makes it difficult for me to hear what he (and other people ) hear without many many times listening. Having it pointed out means I am able to more fully appreciate what I’m hearing. I hear fine but it takes a lot more work for me to be able to discern these things. So when somebody points out something that’s obvious to you, it may be very helpful to the rest of us. If you already have that knowledge, good for you. But I don’t think he has a target audience of only people who already know this stuff.
