Great video, looks like a typical sunny West Coast day!! What a slog from Jacksons onwards, pretty much never recovers after that 10 km/h TSR over the crossing.

From rotomanu to otira was under what we call suspension of signalling due to the weather, different procedures and rules apply to run trains

Can’t believe so many level crossings on major roads don’t have boom gates to stop traffic meaning you have to slow right down and actually flash lights. That’s quite backward.

Yes there are hundreds of earthquakes every day. Most are too small to be noticed though.
