Tornados can sometimes happen (mostly smaller) but I think he blew it out of proportion. It's nowhere as bad as in the US

Yes, we have lots of humor! Oh yes, we have very different dialects. The Plattdeutsch / Lower German, that is spoken at the North Sea coast is an own language, but all understand "Hochdeutsch" / High German. The tornados are not so heavy, and usually only make small damages. We have more than 3000 types of bread!

Germany has very different regions. After all, it has only been a state since 1871. Northern Germans are completely different from southern Germans and like to tease each other. We North Germans even have our own language, namely Low German. It is a separate language and not a dialect. In addition, we North Germans are considered to be reserved and taciturn, we only talk about what is absolutely necessary. While the southern Germans are a bit livelier. Incidentally, as a Schleswig-Holsteiner, I live in an area where there are frequent tornadoes.😊 Ik schriev dat nochmals op Plattdüütsch.Düütsland hett bannig ünnerscheedlich Regionen. Toletzt is dat eerst siet 1871 en Staat. Noorddüütsch sünd ganz anners as Süüdddüütsche un neiht geern gegensiedig. Wi Noorddüütschen hebbt sogaar en egen Spraak, also Plattdüütsch. Dat is en egen Spraak un keen Dialekt. Bito gellten wir Norddeutschen as zurückhollend un wortkarg, wir reden nur über das unbedingt notwendige. Während die Süddeutschen sind etwas lebendiger. As Sleswig-Holsteener leev ik överigens in en Gegend, in dat dat faken Tornados gifft.😊

And there are even variations of Low german^^ Compare someone from a remote Island with someone from Hamburg^^

@@steffent.6477 I know. 25 kilometers away from me they speak a different kind of Low German. And how you write how you speak in High German also applies to Low German. By the way, I live not far from Hamburg🙂

Tschüss is used widely, mostly in northern germany. It's just less formal than Auf Wiedersehen.

There are some Failurs in it...for example...we have more than 3000 types of bread...not 300.

Lower Saxony is further north than regular Saxony. Its called LOWER saxony because its hight compared to sea level is LOWER than that of Saxony. Germans... overly correct.

"Tornados? I have not heard about it" . Just like most Germans. The reason is that the tornadoes are much, much, much weaker. Most of them do not even reach F1. In addition, our houses are not built almost entirely of wood, as in the USA. The strongest tornado was an "F3", more than 60 years ago.

Wow I didn't know 2019 was more than 60 years ago already.😂😂 You haven't lived in Germany for more than 60 years or you just don't notice anything.😅 Here in Germany there are F2 and F3 tornados almost every year.

It is a question of definition. There are many zoological gardens in Germany that exhibit and breed animals and plants from all over the world. I would call that a zoo, and the most species-rich is also in Berlin. But there are also many animal parks and wildlife enclosures that keep only native species, and there are also pure aquariums. But these also seem to be included in the astonishing statistics of currently 768 (in the video 600?) zoological exhibitions in Germany. 😉 Around half of all zoos are in europe. Germany has a large population in Europe, so other european countries certainly have more zoos per capita, probably also with any petting zoo. 🙄

well, when you don't have that many (important) colonies, you at least want to have some 'exotic creatures' in your own country. and 'exotic creatures' in the past didn't only mean animals or plants ... just google "völkerschau". yep, that was a thing here (tbf not only in germany).

even without the inglorius-basterds-reference he is right. the thumb is the no. 1 in germany, because why start counting with the index finger going to the pinky finger, to only then get back to the other side to include the thumb?
