That was the state banner. The law authorizing it is technically still on the books, meaning it is still an official flag of Kansas.

I really like the flags of Arizona, South Carolina and Ohio. But I want to highlight the old flag of Kansas that was a sunflower, I like it! 🌻

I’m pretty sure that was the design of the Kansas state banner, which hung vertically instead of horizontally. The state wanted it to stand out more than the other state flags, the us Capitol rejected displaying it because of its weird configuration, so they changed to a regular flag. I do prefer it’s design, though.

Good thing that your ancestors are getting reparations for it by winning land and turning them into reservations. Also a group in Alaska who take care of bald eagles donate feathers to native Americans communities. Hawaii is still fighting to get their land back but when they do, they should definitely start charging people for it.

@@EL_JOJO Well, I mean, I only disagree with that because I actually DO kinda like the design of the new flag. I like the magnolia flower, the “In God We Trust” slogan, etc. But I’m saying that I don’t agree with the changing of the old flag because I don’t like it when people get rid of history for the sake of being “liberal” or “woke.” They only got rid of the Confederate ensign because of the George Floyd murder, but he was a criminal, and I believe that the whole thing was staged and made-up to cause another race war and divide people.
