YBOT has a "pathfinder" feature which is AI that clicks as late as possible. sorry, some of those videos are real, but the trajectory is just an addon to make it look more real and clickbaitable.

all AI videos from before YBot was released/created are not legitimate and manually botted unless they used a private program that is only given to special people (which i doubt they got..). there is something called YBot that is basically a really good macro/replay thing that is VERY accurate, one of the key features is the AI feature that actually puts a AI through legitimately learning the level. a suggestion i want to give to you is to do a little bit more research before straight up saying its literally not an AI. i mean, yes, i did say that the ones before ybot was released/created were manually botted (unless etc) but you still have to add this on top of the fact that these "aren't AI"

I think that during your analysis on the wave part, i believe that the "ai" isnt trying to do as little clicks as possible, i believe that if it was an ai, it would only click to avoid dying

i think in order to code a true level botting ai, you'd need to make it calculate how many frames to go back when it dies as every gamemode, at every speed, on every size, on every gravity. that's just excluding move and rotate and any triggers that can affect the player. while yes, there's probably a short way to calculate all of those in a math problem and make the ai do it, no one will really bother making it until a lot of people come to this conclusion

This is not an AI. An ai will not learn the level but instead ot will learn how to play so it can then beat the level. That's why is Its called artificial INTELLIGENCE

This is mostly incorrect. The GD bot yBot has an "AI" pathfinder that tries to go through the level, then moves back if it dies and tries different inputs until it works. You can debate whether it's AI, and it definitely isn't doing the level real-time, but it is fundamentally different from a regular bot, and that is what Neiro was using. However nickxd videos came out before this tool was released, so I'm not sure if those are real. There were other attempts to create a GD bot - some attempts to make an ML bot to learn GD. Nickxd could be using a private tool or something similar to that, but because it's him, it's probably fake - unsure though. Please do adequate research before making a claim like this. Have you contacted the people creating those videos and asked what they used?

You cant debate whether its AI, its simply not, it in no way is AI, AI has to have a Neural Network and progressively grow as it fails and learn from its mistakes, that is really in no way an AI, creating an AI is completely distinct from creating a robot there is a clear cut difference, I know because I have programmed and creating an AI is much harder and is completely different than creating a robot which does the same

What all the comments aren't realizing is that even if a computer is playing these levels without a human needing to play them first, that doesn't make them an AI. It's really, really difficult to train an actual neural network (or even other types of AI like Q-Learning) to play a game where your only way of accessing the code is by decompiling assembly. You would almost definitely need Geode to made something that truly LEARNS to play geometry dash (if it doesn't learn, it's not an AI), and Geode was so barely known and early in development when these videos started coming out that pretty much nobody knew about it, and almost nobody was doing super cool things with it like we see today. So without this, mods had to change the game by modifying assembly code where it was super hard to tell what things did. If somebody even made an AI in assembly, let alone integrated an AI that could beat extreme demons into a game where the source code isn't public, lets just say it definitely wouldn't go unnoticed. And for those people saying stuff like " has a mod where an AI automatically beats levels", I'm 95% sure that this "AI" you're talking about either didn't exist before these videos were first made, isn't good enough at the game to beat the levels shown in these videos, or- the most likely option that I see everywhere- the mod you're talking about simply isn't an AI and you're either misunderstanding what an AI is or you're misinformed about that mod using a real AI. But if anyone is aware of a tool that existed back when these videos were first made, is good enough at the game to realistically beat levels as hard as people claim, and uses an actual neural network or something like that, tell me about it and show me your evidence, because I'd be interested to see that. also something kinda funny I wanted to point out, wrote this whole thing while waiting for my C++ AI to train

@@DomisorusRex Oh, what I made is unrelated to GD, I just thought it was a little funny that I was waiting for an AI to train while writing a paragraph about AI, but I do plan on making a Geode-less GD ai one day. Also training is the process of an AI getting information and learning from it.

any knowledge of how a basic AI is made disproves any "geometry dash ai" videos. in most popular cases of people creating artificial intelligence for games, you need to first re-create the game from scratch (this is how most chess AI's are made) which is almost impossible for GD considering 2 factors: 1. there are no popular open-source copies of geometry dash 2. you would have to re-create an entire level to make an AI for it also including all of the little inconsistencies in general, these are obviously fake, impossible or a waste of time in the best cases

Yeah, thats what I thought when I saw it. When doing a bit of research to see if anyone else made a video on this I saw someone who actually did make their own GD to have AI play it, but they only made the first level.

first sentence - Incorrect. you can get an estimation of a game's physics headless without needing an exact copy, which is often good enough, but even without this, there are methods of training ML bots (modding the game to speed up, running many instances). and not all bots are even ML, AI is just anything that learns. 1 - Incorrect. There is OpenGD, as verified by a simple google search. (not ported to 2.2 yet but the point stands) 2 - Incorrect. Geometry dash levels are stored as files locally, and those files have all the data of the level. There is never a need to recreate a level from scratch.

for everyone who is taking about the ybot thing, from what i have heard this is NOT AI. An AI wouldn't learn the level instead it would already know how to play the game and beat any the level first attempt without any practice. Otherwise its NOT an AI. Thank you for understanding

I agree that it is obvious. The moment I saw one of these videos I was like "thats def just a bot" and I wanted to inform people who are less familiar with hacks and botting.
