The joke according to Kim book the keeper on the 8th goal as he heard it was: “Georgie best walked on one side of the street and Kim book on the opposite side; Georgie best being a friendly chap nods towards book in acknowledgement however this causes book to instinctively dive under a bus.” Haha

That's some attrocious goalkeeping on the fifth goal, he went out and basicaly left 60% of the goal unmarked. Second and sixth goal couldn't be saved, but the goalkeeper reacted poorly on them as well. Not takig anything from George best, just commenting on how much goalkeepers have improved over the years, I think most of all positions.

This is true but tbh look at the pitch, it’s basically a wwi trench I’m sure the keeper got tired of diving on that by the fourth goal. I mean why break your clavicle on some pointless save when ur down by 5

6th goal if you look more Best fakes to use outside of right foot to sit the goal keeper down. It's a subtle movement but he was very good at making people sit down and just going past them lol

@@netcald991 Naw. He never played at the highest end of football in his era. The World Cup. The only competitive format across the 1950s to the 1970s, where the best players around the world competed in a competitive format. Pelé, Cruyff, Maradona, therefore had the greater claim to being the goat of that era, being as they were World Cup titians. From the 1980s, starting with scudetto to modern day UCL. All the best players from around the world came to European clubs & competed weekly/ monthly against each other.

@@johnpacino007 George Best is a top 20 player of all time. Also, I’d take Eusebio over Pelé. Eusebio scored 733 goals in 745 games, which is an absolutely incredible goalscoring ratio and he did it in Europe unlike Pelé. Eusebio also was faster, had better shooting, free kicks, technique and dribbling. Pelé only had better heading and maybe a better weak foot too. He also scored 9 goals in a single World Cup in 1966 and that was the only WC he ever played in, he won the top scorer of that tournament. Pele has played in 4 World Cups and has never been top scorer in any of those. His Brazilian teammates outscored him in 1962 and 1970 (Garrincha and Jairzinho).

@@McFlashh I know you don't rate Pelé. You've made your thoughts clear on him before. You bring up numerous players you state better than him. Yet; in an era, in which he played in. Featuring such luminaries as Charlton, Sivori, Suarez, Garrincha, Mazzola, Rivera, Eusébio, Beckenbauer, Albert, Best, Cruyff. He was recognised as the greatest player of that era. But for you. Eusébio is better, when Eusébio said many times, that Pelé was the greatest player of his era.🤫 I think the issue is,that Pelé doesn't appeal to you on the aesthetic front. I better you think, ball stylist like Zidane, Ronaldinho; better than Pelé also? It's your call that you don't rate Pelé. ( who i rate the greatest ), because he was the player, with the fewest weakness, i have seen out of all the greatest players I've watched over the years... Even on a comp to do with George Best. You still had to bring up Pelé, to make it clear why you don't rate him.🙄🤷♂️ Which makes no sense, because the comp isn't about Pelé or Eusébio as a matter of fact.

@@johnpacino007 Pele called George Best the greatest ever, so what’s your point? A great player is one which can be great in all eras, Pele would not be good in today’s era. You could watch a video of Pele’s best ever goals (from footage which is available) and it’s nothing special. However, Cruyff and Eusebio’s best ever goals are all more astonishing and beautiful to watch than Pele’s.
