It’s Always Sunny is like a more modern version. not saying its better but I love having a show that’s similar to Seinfeld. but just like Seinfeld, they took a few seasons to hit their stride. check it out if you haven’t!

I remember the laser fad in the '90s; I even had one too. The novelty wore off pretty quick once the battery charge depleted.

I remember the novelty wearing off once places started banning them. It didn’t take long until they were not allowed in places like a classroom lecture, sporting event, or theater. With the large audience removed, there wasn’t much interest in them anymore.

This is the episode where Kramer accidentally burns the Puerto Rican 🇵🇷. and it angered so many people that it was removed from reruns and syndication

I've only ever seen this episode once in syndication. It was also pulled because Kramer (during a riot) says "It's like this everyday in Puerto Rico!", a callback to earlier in the episode.

Jerry was smart to end it after this season.. Although there were some decent episodes in season 9, it felt the humor was kind of dumbed down compared to the older seasons and you can tell they were running out of ideas for a plot.

Plot twist, laser pointer guy is the chief prison guard where the guys are incarcerated. He trolled George DAILY for the year, found out where he lives and continued to do so after they were released. It made George lash out to the point that he is now incarcerated in solitary confinement for life where he constantly ducks from the laser pointer shining through the slot to this day. The prison guard is in an open throuple with the two ladies he met at the movie theater and just won the Mega Millions Jackpot. He still insists that his life's not awesome, HE'S awesome.

Interesting that despite beggaring belief with their basic premise (of people finding laser pointing funny), they somehow managed to pull you in and had you wanting to find the guy and break his pointer too... Of then, maybe it's just me Either way, other than the line about the blind being courageous (which is brilliant), this was a passable episode

yeah, it didn’t get aired on TV much for a very long time. the flag-burning part was deemed offensive, so this episode didn’t get shown much. aside from all that, I also don’t think its a particularly funny episode.

Captain obvious here: laser pointers are dangerous. I don't find it funny when they "play" with cats and dogs, because if the pets look into the laser, it can permanently damage the eyes.
