George was the most interesting Beatle to look at. After 1967 he never looked the same in any two pictures. Always a different hairstyle, sometimes with a beard and mustache, sometimes just a mustache and sometimes clean shaven. Fascinating guy.

George died about a month before I was born. And his music speaks to me in a way that John's, Paul's, and Ringo's don't. They're all great, but George is the one who makes tears form in my eyes. Songs like this make me realize that everything might be alright. Thank you George, and I hope you're happy wherever you are now. You certainly made life more beautiful and fun to be in.

Day turned black, sky ripped apart Rained for a year 'til it dampened my heart Cracks and leaks The floorboards caught rot About to go down I had almost forgot All I got to do is to love you All I got to be is, be happy All it's got to take is some warmth to make it Blow Away, Blow Away, Blow Away Sky cleared up, day turned to bright Closing both eyes now the head filled with light Hard to remember what a state I was in Instant amnesia Yang to the Yin All I got to do is to love you All I got to be is, be happy All it's got to take is some warmth to make it Blow Away, Blow Away, Blow Away Wind blew in, cloud was dispersed Rainbows appearing, the pressures were burst Breezes a-singing, now feeling good The moment had passed Like I knew that it should All I got to do is to love you All I got to be is, be happy All it's got to take is some warmth to make it Blow Away, Blow Away, Blow Away

It's strange you said that. I barely remember this song at all and yet it creates powerful associations with my early childhood in the late 1970s. I think I must remember hearing it on the radio. Same with Kate Bush's Them Heavy People (and I never really discovered her until college in the 1990s) and Eagles' New Kid in Town.
