It's really not just a lack of education. It can be many things. A source of inspiration, drive or happiness. It can help people through dark times or motivate them to be better. Religion can pull people out of despair or depression in a way that science cannot. Even if it is just make believe, some people need that reassurance that they will see their beloved spouse, mother, father or child again in an afterlife - because the thought of losing them forever is too much to bear. Some people need structure in their life, and religion offers a way to live life. (that generally tends to be unharmful to others). Yes, there are religious zealots who arrogantly believe their belief is the only correct belief, but there's people like that in every belief system. You are preaching right now, commenting about how you believe science is the definitive answer and everyone else's beliefs just come from "a lack of education". You could've just gone on with your day and let others believe what they want to believe, since it doesn't affect you at all, but you still took the time to preach because you think it gives you moral justification over others. You took the time to write that because of "the fact you think your right and everyone else is wrong". What you're saying is very intellectually dishonest. There are plenty of people with a lot of education, and I can bet a lot more intelligent than you that are theists. You are not intellectually superior because you don't believe in something that someone else does. If you don't want to believe in a religion that's fine but don't act like "a lack of education" is all it takes to have a theistic world view.
