I thought I was living according to God's will, but there is always temptation at a close proximity, mainly things that will take you away from Christ. My wife and I now still talk about how much time we spent in prayer and how we grew closer to God during the 6 months we moved apart from each other before we got married. I'm the best part was I was in school at the time trying to find a place to live and I had a friend who allowed me to stay with him essentially for free. His problem is that he's trying to unwind with vices. He could try watching a movie or laying in bed having a conversation with his partner next to him or a friend on the phone. Even scrolling through social media or reading a book/the Bible. These things eventually gets you tired and ready to sleep. Getting drunk or high at the end of the day only makes you feel shitty the next morning and slowly damages the body because you're never really well rested.

Interesting topic.. I got completely off weed when I turned to the Lord. Went cold turkey and didn't smoke for like 8 years. Then my marriage was giving me so much stress (been a slow build) to where I just had to numb the pain instead of feeling it. After I got divorced I tried to fast & pray but this only got me closer in Gods presence and therefore accelerated the healing proces and brought me even more pain until the point I wanted to die. After wrestling alot with myself (since I wanted to quit entirely) I accepted that in this season it helps me proces the pain and dissapointments I have faced during these past years. But once I'm through going through all of these emotions once again, I will definitely leave it behind me as I know what's healthy. That's just me. I have a desire to be the best version of myself and I don't see smoking weed / hasj in that picture. As for people who are going through something HEAVY. Wether physically or mentally. Weed / Hasj can defenitly relief some pain and help you go through it better. I mean.. they don't perform surgery without anesthetizing the client. Same reason I started to believe it's okay for us to anesthetize our pain when it gets EXTREME. Other wise we might end up killing ourselves (in my case) instead of just using w/e helps us to go through the healing process. Treat it like a tool not like a solution.. Just my thoughts 🙏🏽

I decided to let go of smoking because while I was high I would be anxious, paranoid, and have negative thoughts… and anything that makes you feel that way is automatically not from the lord but the enemy!
