Awesome clip! It is so great to see George getting the recognition that he deserves and to see the performing artists and many others (including him) touched by his amazing music. A true legend.

I met Garth while doing security at one of the concerts in 91 he preformed for 3 hours on stage then had the stadium staff open gate and walked into a crowd of thousands and shook hands and sign autographs and if you have ever heard his earlier stuff pre his seventh album. it was some great country music and most artists couldn't fill a stadium . George Jones is the greatest country singer to date but Garth will always be in the top 20 as will George Strait .

I have deep respect for Garth and George and it is totally cool when Garth said George Jones is simply the greatest voice in country music because it is true!!!

George is the man! When Brad, Randy, AJ and Garth can't really do justice to your songs you must be George Jones!

Just in case anyone thought Morgan Freeman was being rude by not clapping, he actually paralyzed his left hand in a car crash that year. I watched the entire show and he didn’t clap during his tribute either.

In my opinion George Jones is the greatest county singer of all time. And I think he would have had that title "King of Country" if not for his past. Garth is next. But Neil Diamond is my guy, all time favorite singer my whole adult life. And still is. I just hate whats happening to him. Love you Neil!

Nice tribute to Possum, but, vocals lacking. George folded his arms at 3:00 and looks were saying " oK son let's see what you can do with this", Garth could'nt match up. Upper range ok, but where is the rest..need lower range too to be able to sing George Jones!!! Possum has it all...

In my opinion Garth Brooks would never have reached stardom if it wasn't for the big arena shows he did. In a way he took country to the next level, but as a singer he's quite mediocre. (Is that right spelled...)
