Just found this. George and James Loveless were 'cousins'. The Martyrs inspiring story is one of hardship, oppression, strength, unity, humanity and faith. Their story galvanised and strengthened the fledgling trade union movement in the UK and every year in Tolpuddle, the birth place of the Martyrs, a rally and festival is held by trade unionists. If you ever get the chance you should go. The atmosphere is one of unity with music and politics with beer (beware the scrumpy!) good food and friendship thrown in.
