Omg when u see just the shooting of Han Luke & Leia w/o the special effects the music the editing they all thought it was weird. Imagine shooting what they did then seeing how it all came together. Also it's incredible how the effects get so much better from esb to rotj.

Huge amount of innovative work... Watching the final results more than a year afterwards... Is such period of time not unusual among the actors - cinematographers?.. Being apprehensive of facing the creative outcome. Success or fiasco? Success or failure?..

The original trilogy theatrical cut, with original special effects, should be released in 4K quality. 20th Century Fox owned the distribution rights to 'Star Wars' (1977) in perpetuity. Imagine that, George Lucas not owning his biggest film! Ever! The right to 'The Empire Strikes Back' and 'Return of the Jedi' until 2019, or 2021 (can't remember). As well as being a VFX testing ground, the 'Special Editions' were created as a workaround to the rights issue. The Special Editions are 'new' films with new distribution rights. Now that Disney has acquired 'Lucasfilm' and 'FOX', nothing can legally stop a release of the original theatrical cut, with original special effects. This would possibly require cleaning the original negatives (again) and scanning the films in 8K, then recompositing the original effects in place of the Special Edition effects. Some suspect that the films on Disney+ have been re-scanned in 4K or 8K from the Special Editions negatives. Yes, this would have a cost, but I suspect Disney would make its money back, at least as long as fans of that ear are still alive. Thanks to 'Harmy' for his 'Despecialized Editions' and to 'OriginalTrilogy' for their 4K77 and 4K83 releases. I cannot wait for 4K80.

I Feel for George, Disney stepped in, and murdered everything he worked for. After this disney trilogy, i don't give 'two cents' for this franchise.. it did one thing though, it made me appreciate the prequels, not saying they're good, but it is star wars. Disney's trilogy is, hey kids remember these people, let me kill them off so you can follow these cheap no character characters and hey, you know the force, we made up a bunch of things that it can do, and every body can use it .. it also is a transporter! we also have bad guys, but seeing we didn't have a coherent story written and did everything off the cuff, here;s darth sidious, he didn't die after all, making that entire original trilogy not worth any thing anymore. Screw disney, they kill everything, through oversaturation or just not understanding what the series is about. nice going you money grubbing bastards

I don't like the old trilogy. There is too much of blue screen in it. I wished they used REAL asteroids! ;) (being sarcastic here) For all annoying prequel haters!
