Oh my!! yes, you're totally right about both of these legends sounding like they're in the recording studio! Just listen to the most beautiful harmony that Smokey expertly blended in! He also put a new and dramatic twist to this classic song and it sounded absolutely breathtakingly historic with the added emotion and vulnerability of Smokey's most heavenly voice! Smokey was one of George Michael's idols and George sang his heart out! It must've been a dream come true for George and I read somewhere that he was nervous, but he channeled it well So very sad, the world lost George too soon and so very young. I'm also a singer, and I have always valued Smokey and George, and the influential inspiration that they have on the world's international stage of soulful singers and brilliant, heartfelt soul music. ❤

Absolutely Teensy Mom. Hi, Teensy Mom, This is BK I've replied to you before. Stevie loved George, Is It any wonder why? Have you ever seen Stevie & George sing LIVIN IN THE CITY? If not you have to check It out! Boy, If they aren't having fun in this one. George really lets loose, so much fun! LOL, my friend, take care! BK
@teensymom14202 жыл бұрын
@@bk4062 Hi BK! Yes, I have seen that duet at the VH1 Save The Music special. Love that performance, both on point as always and the crowd getting into it. I know that George sure loved Stevie too. You can see how nervous he was to sing with Stevie for the first time at the Apolo no less but he still was spectacular. I sure miss George but hope he is at peace. Apparently no better person as we learned after his death than George. Knowing just how generous he was makes me even more sad he is gone. You know the song that hits me most...John and Elvis are dead. It was George's way of saying that we all grew up in a special time for music and culture that may never be seen again. The lyrics just hit me like a ton of bricks. Now he is gone too. Something really special is gone from our world which makes me so sad for young folks today. Nice to hear from you again BK.

Too bad today's artists (most of them) don't have this pure talent to be able to come out on stage and just SING... no autotune, no lights, no back-up dancers, fully clothed... just their voice.
