Criminally underrated. The thing is though, he's not an attention-seeker. He's just doing what he does best and has a dedicated audience. And goddamn, this is orgasm to my ears. Mad respect.

@HugeWeights No no no, I dont mean to discredit any of his original stuff, its fantastic and really universal. As he says, "Born lover will work in 1940 and 2040" and I respect it a lot. Its good shit.

@giants202 Yup, pretty much :D but really its no secret that Thorogood's made a pretty successful 35 year career out of playing other people's music haha
@howlingsandy13 жыл бұрын
Thorogood should never try singing this. He IS a Wolf fan, taped Wolf's photo on his acoustic 12-string at least way back. This doesn't match his vocal abilities as he is trying to "sound like" Wolf Eddy Shaw (once Wolf' s main sax man, and sometimes songwriter and manager at the end) does little better,vocally but at least does it more as himself ...this would have been better an instrumental but they amp up GT's guitar too much as is so commonly popular for current common fanship

I must have missed the part where George wasn't singing this great....
@thosrobert10 жыл бұрын
This is very sad. And awful. I saw GT when he was in his prime, which lasted about 2 years. He had the chops back then. But this is pitiful. At best, it's a better than average cover band version of this song. Listen to Howlin Wolf do this song. You'll know what I mean.

Music is subjective and applies to performance as well. Thus your opinion is your opinion and doesn't speak for any mass. Just remember that when that thought passes in your mind to post something as fact or definitive.
@blueyedboymrdeath9 жыл бұрын
Agree w. Thos Robert. Just listened to Howlin' Wolf. And played this tune many times in a blues band (with a better singer.) This is a mediocre version on all counts.
@andreimuhamadyasbek38527 жыл бұрын
exelente
@charlaville76582 жыл бұрын
I totally disagree - I think this is the best version of the song I've heard. Eddie & George were just perfect together.
@charlaville76582 жыл бұрын
@@LunchableSandwich Some people don't have a good ear for music either & others have an excellent ear for music...so you are right in saying music is subjective & your opinion is your own. Very true. In my opinion, it doesn't get any better than this :-)
