Fact - the video was lip synched. The recording had happened earlier, and George Michael begged the recording company (Sony) to release a video of it. He knew it would be gold. So they recreated that night for the video.

There's something in George that has kept me from taking my own life after my son died. Nathaniel meant everything to me. But George's lyrics give me strength that I didn't know I had. I think I've listened to this song a 1000 times, and every time George sings "Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Elton John", I get the chills. Truly one of the best musical pairings of all time. When we lost George, we did indeed lose a legend. He was one of our best.

If you haven't already ,go listen to his version of "the first time ever I saw your face".I heard this song years ago in the Clint Eastwood movie "play misty for me".Until it was recommended to me ,I`d no idea George had sung it. It is truly beautiful.The audience are captivated ,and you could hear a pin drop as he sung.Really gave me goosebumps.Such a legend ,and always will be.there`s no forgetting that sweet soulful voice..

I’ve seen Elton John twice here in Honolulu. Closest I’ve been to George Michael was wearing out TWO audio cassettes of album Faith while renovating my sailboat for 18 hrs a day, over three days! Yes--audio cassettes played on my Sony “boom box."

I snuck it into my house, 'cause if my mom had known I could play "I Want Your Sex" on my boombox, I would have been grounded for life. I played that cassette tape until it broke at 19.

+Donna Stokes - you know, I think George kind of made so many of his peers look like weak singers by way of his sheer talent. I mean those pipes of his were GOLDEN!! I have watched George with Stevie Wonder, Smokie Robinson, Sting, the Coldplay lead etc. and really, what do you think? George just ROCKS!
