GSP has 13 title wins (in two separate divisions) to his 4, and Khabib was too scared to ever move up to his natural weight class of 170lb - he'd rather miss weight, go to hospital and out-grapple former 145lb strikers. GSP's opponent's win/loss record when they fought is 498-101, whereas Khabib's is 282-115 - he was fighting absolute bums most of his career, whereas more than half of GSP's fights were UFC title bouts. It's an insult to even compare Khabib to the Goat GSP

What amazes me the most is GSP seriously wanted to challenge himself by fighting @ 155 against whoever was champ at the time following his win against bisping (95% sure it was khabib) the UFC is usually really good @ making the fights the fans want to see but they missed this one & tbh that fight might have been the BIGGEST EVER IN UFC HISTORY !! God i wish parallel universes are real & become a thing in my lifetime so I can find the one where the fight happen.

@@heisenberg9739 He handled the losses very well. About as good as one can. He overcame them. George's St Pierre avenged both his losses via dominating one sided finishes/stoppages. So, he's kinda undefeated, in a way. In rematches, GSP dominated and defeated both the guys who beat him. His legacy cannot be touched. He fought in 2 different UFC eras too. GSP is a UFC OG, Champ Champ, and the GOAT. Not just the WW GOAT either. The overall P4P GOAT MMA fighter. WAR GSP!

My father always talked about how great GSP was, finally I saw him fight live in 2017 in his outstanding return and loved the sport from there onward! Able to recover from loses and improve from the mistakes which we so rarely see.The Greatest Of All Time, not a cheat, a respectful individual and the perfect embodiment of a Mixed Martial Artist! For a lot of people, he is the true undisputed best ever. The discipline he shows, the patience, the humility, the use of his strengths. Everyone, irrespective of whether they are into martial arts or not, can take inspiration from this man. An absolute icon 💪

Ik everyone is saying this so I'll just reiterate it once more. GSP is the absolute definition of the GOAT. No cheating, no outside of the cage drama, fought through adversity, beat everyone he ever fought, his dominance was unparalleled only next to Khabib, showcased the most well rounded skillset along with DJ and came back and finished Bisping after he was away for 4 years and became the middleweight champ. And on top of all that he was a huge star, a great role model and changed MMA forever. 🐐🇨🇦

GSP is such a great guy I met him at a club in Toronto we talked for few minutes but I was thinking in my head you're not that tall or big but I also though he would kill me if he wanted to. To me GSP is the goat he never got caught taken supplements come off a 4 year layoff then moves up a Division and becomes champion again. Got to give credit where credit is due he didn't have to talk trash to sell fight.

St-Pierre treated MMA like a serious sport. He had the professionalism and dedication like any Olympic level athlete competing in an Olympic sport. Before him MMA was cage fighting, but St-Pierre transcended that and made it look like a professional sport that you can and have to take seriously. ST-Pierre was a pro-athlete, while the rest were 'fighters'.

GSP is the real G.O.A.T. in my books, Jon jones, Khabib, Anderson Silva, Mighty Mouse, Kamaru usman, and all the others regarded as the best are without a doubt incredible fighters but GSP was so dominant and skilled you can't dislike the guy nor can you discredit his performances.

Whether you say GSP or Kamaru it’s an honor being in the conversation in general. But GSP got my pick for GOAT welterweight. Usman is also incredible but wasn’t as punishing as St Pierre was. Both were dominant Usman was more of a point fighter, GSP was a destroyer !

GSP really elevated the class of the sport. You can keep mentioning guys like Gracie, Shamrock, Cotoure, Lidell and Ortiz who helped popularize MMA, but remember that there was a time when MMA was banned in certain states. It was viewed as human cockfighting. A tough guy sport for white skinheads and trailer trash who can't excel in boxing. First, GSP conducted himself as a martial artist more than a fighter. Coming from a Karate Background, he never stopped trying to improve his game. He tried to work on his wrestling and boxing. I do not recall any MMA star before him that made us appreciate the multidisciplinary approach of MMA. Lidell was a good kickboxer who had good takedown defense. Cotoure was a wrestler who could box a little. But GSP tried to excel in both. Second GSP was one of the first MMA stars who showed up in press conferences wearing a suit. He did not need to trash talk a lot, and provided fans with entertaining fights.
