Another day, another derby!
After watching Sporting Kansas vs. St. Louis City, the MLS' new rivalry, today I find myself many miles away from the sunflower state, in Southern Wales.
The South Wales Derby is a clash between Wales' two biggest cities and also between two fierce rivals who have been playing in the English league system since 1920.

glad you enjoyed if you ever come to watch a cardiff match again try and get yourself in the stand to the left of where you was for this game its called the canton stand and you'll have a surreal experience where the atmosphere is and the chanting

Ah. The joys and delights of Welsh rain otherwise known as a "heavy dew"! Quite a few points missing from the video though...2000 empty seats were for segregation. It has been known for seats to be ripped up and thrown into the home fans, for example. Also, not mentioned, the concept of a "bubble trip". Fans have a bit of history and at one time weren't allowed to attend matches "down west". The result is very strict controls on who attends matches with opposing fans always brought into each other's stadium by coach.

@@saschafox Stuttgart are having a really good start to the season, and leading the top scorer charts. 🤣 I have ties to Germany myself, and watch the Bundesliga almost every week. I’ll be honest, I did shout for HSV in the playoff last year, but now I’m seriously impressed with how you guys have picked up form. That’s what escaping relegation should inspire!

Unfortunately you came when Swansea were at their absolute worst, Cardiff usually dint stand a chance against the biggest club in Wales, they had a very lucky day, a once in a lifetime win, Swansea have been annihilating that club for decades

Well, I like witnessing once in a lifetime events.. 😅 and sometimes history can change, I guess 🤷‍♂️ If I had had more time in the UK, I’d have went to a Swansea match, too. The 3:0 against the 🦉 a week later would have been nice but I was on a tight schedule. I actually quite enjoyed Swansea upsetting some big names during their years in the premier league.. They were a pleasure to watch back then!
