dioamine I don’t think this could be called ruins immigration isn’t just bad for us European our population is very old and is shrinking immigrants provide us new young people to do « bad works » in France notre dame has burned we got terrorist attempts but if we don’t want to see true ruins we can’t let far right take our country in every election in France they are close to take power and when they will we will get true ruins they are going to divide us because for some unknown reasons « French people are more important than other humans » and the same thing will happen in all Europe just imagine what they could do

@funeraloak74224 жыл бұрын
Grim Reaper national socialism, just like all other socialism, is a disease and must be eradicated. I believe in nationalism, but replacing “the working class” with “____ people” doesn’t make it right.
@ironsusgaming5404 жыл бұрын
@@funeraloak7422 your ignorance of national socialism isn't surprising. It only had "socialist" in its name to appeal to the leftist in Germany and James Murphy says it in his English translation of Mein Kampf. National Socialism was against communism which is socialist like the United Soviet Socialist Republic or USSR. Its a misleading name but it worked to gain the interest of left leaning Germans.

Written at a time when Germany didn't exist as a united country but divided amongst several (often warring) states. The song is an appeal for Germany unity. "Deutschland uber Alles" is a call for all Germans to place Germany above all the petty states. Its words are actually very moving, appealing for all Germans to join hands in brotherhood. What other national anthem praises the wine, women, and song of the nation together with appeals to truth and beauty? Compare that to the French anthem ~ arguably the bloodiest and most bloodthirsty of all anthems!
@killeravocado9 жыл бұрын
Kenneth Wissler The first time I saw the lyrics of the French anthem I was a bit shocked. It's my favourite anthem now, because it's so bloodthirsty. I do like the German anthem as well though.

Yeah well Deutschland Uber Alles actually say that Germany's boder is supposed to go from Memel (which means the Baltic states) up to the very inside of my country on the Maas River... So I don't really believe in that unity song: it's a pangermanistic song, no doubt about that. (It still sounds cooler than the current german anthem which so gay...)
@joshuaschmidt82196 жыл бұрын
MoreAwsomeMetal I think you misunderstood this anthem because they didnt mean that the border should reach out till Memel. In 1841(The year in which the anthem got written) existed a german state called Prussia. Prussia was the owner of memel that's why the singer is singing "Von der Maas bis an die Memel"(From Maas to Memel)

As a Non-German, I sing this anthem too, its beautiful, the melody especially. Funfact, the melody is taken from the Austro-Hungarian empire song, And "Deutschland Uber Alles" means "United Germany over individual entities like Saxony, Bavaria, Prussia etc". So basically the 1st stanza is about German unity & brotherhood and nothing to despise about.
@richardshurbet672 Жыл бұрын
No 1st stanza mean Germany above all else in the world... It's still history just most Germans don't feel that way anymore so they took it out of the anthem.

There are some Hymns in the Church of England Hymnbook, which carry the same tune. Having been stationed in Germany for many years whenever I hear these hymns I am reminded of the German National anthem, and sing along using some of the words from the German National Anthem.

Erich H. I gave a good rendition of that verse at the Germany - Scotland match in Dortmund a few years back. I was politely informed that it was infra dig. That said I was the only one present who had actually been to the Meuse, Klaipeda/Neman, the Adidge, & across the Belt. If I visit Helgoland do I qualify for a tea shirt? German wine & women have already been knocked off the list. German history is much, much, more than 1933 - 1945. Sympathy to our brothers & sisters at Berlin.
