Eventually, he left Radio for an opportunity to skate for Santa Cruz Skateboards. As he grew up and matured, he turned pro and achieved his life long dream. I lived in Germany when my dad was stationed there in the military when the Berlin Wall fell, I was in nurnberg just a kid but I remember looking at the guys skateboarding in my neighborhood and thinking how awesome it looked and how bad I wanted to do what they were doing. Being in Germany was my inspiration and introduction to skateboarding, I'm 43 years old now and still skating 🔥

I can still remember the first time I met him when we were 12 at Mellowpark. Crazy how far he's come, but after he won new kids on the block I honestly didn't expect any less at the rate he was improving. Congrats!!!

Feels great to see Justin doing what he wants and beeing good at it. i went to elementary school with him and it really hit me different seeing he wanted to quit playing soccer for skating but already a couple weeks afterwards he started jumping across first and second graders lying on the stairs on the schoolgrounds which showed me that he was actually better at skating than soccer . Anyway amazing work Justin keep it up .

Justin seems like a really cool guy and deserves everything he archieved! 💪💪👏 The whole documentation about his path was really interesting. I watched him on the internet since he was little kid and when he got better and better i knew he will become one of the best german skateboarders in the future. Beeing pro for such an iconic brand like santa cruz is unbelievable. 😱 Congrats Justin! Keep on the great work! Fun fact: Steve Forstner is originally from my homecountry, Austria. I'm turning 35 this year and haven't skated in years, used to skate with Lem (Villemin) back in the days, we are from the same city and I witnessed him going big in the business back then... 1987 fing alles an in Neuperlach-Betonwüste. Die Blocks und Umgebung sahen im Gegensatz zu heut noch recht neu aus. Viel Stress, alles noch vollgestopft mit Kids in meinem Alter aus allen Nationen. Wenn man tiefer geht hat Skateboarding natürlich immer auch nen träumerischen Bezug zum Surfen, man träumt von den moves des kommenden Tages, nur das man nicht am Strand lungern muss, man legt direkt los wenn die Sonne brennt

A question from someone who really has no plan (me) : I think it is amazing that even nowadays young skaters can make such a career. But is it nowadays more easy to make a career since the scene is bigger, or harder becasue the scene is bigger.
