Powodem tego,że nie wygrała miało być złamanie regulaminu przez Edytę, która zaśpiewała na próbie dla jurorów utwór "To nie ja" po angielsku, tłumacząc to chorobą....i to jest chore,bo na konkursie zaśpiewała w języku ojczystym . Ale jak mówi przysłowie - jak się chce psa uderzyć to kij się zawsze znajdzie.

To be fair, being limited to the native language only favored those whose native language was English. For the sake of fair competition, it's a good thing the artists are allowed to sing in whatever language they choose.

Eurovision went downhill in the 2000's but it's back on track. There's some "extra" entries but also a lot of really talented people and great music. I agree with the other comment, that limiting contestants to using only their national language, favors terribly those, whose languages are well known- english, french, spanish, Italian or german

There have been still some good songs like Pali się by Tulia, Molitva by Marija Šerifovič, Kruna by Nevena Božovič czy to piosenki które Mołdavia showed in 2022 i 2023. Italy also shows songs in their own language and usually gets high place. But But this year Eurovision was rigded shit. Absolute disgrace to morality and good taste

Also, Edyta sung the Polish version of "Color of the wings" (Kolorowy wiatr) from the Disney motion picture "Pocahotas", which she did better than the original. One of the best Polish female voices

A young girl came on stage in a simple white dress. She had no dancers, no orchestra, no spotlights... She just sang... Back then, Eurovision was really a song contest and the voice was important and the whole point of the contest was to sing a song in the language of your country....

Yes, she should have won then. And it probably would have happened if it weren't for politics and jealousy. During rehearsals, Mrs. Edyta sang a fragment of this song in English, it had no significance for the competition, but three countries: Sweden, Greece and Spain ordered Poland to be expelled from the competition, justifying it by saying that she should sing only in Polish. Ultimately, Poland was not thrown out, but Edyta Górniak received 0 points from these countries. I would like to remind you that at that time only national jurors assigned points, TV viewers had nothing to say.

Do you really know what's the difference? In early 90's Euroviosion was the content for the best singers. Today is for the best "show". Comparing to Edyta today there is no way someone can compare with her. And that day she should be picked the best.

Przetłumaczysz Sobie przyjacielu, co teraz piszę. Niestety jestem pokoleniem rosyjkojęzycznym. Ale, Edyta, przeszła duchową przemianę i często jest wyśmiewana. Dalej śpiewa, bardzo Ją lubię. Hi, This is one of the best voices in the history of Polish popular music. The best part is that then still girl was a natural raw voice. She just sang like that. Such talent happens once in a billion. It's a pity that Ms. Edyta was never guided in such a way to become an international star. I always compared her vocal conditions with such mega stars as Céline Dion or Barbra Streisand. She had great talent, great beauty. A little luck was missing..🙂🖖.

I think that this year German song was one of the best in the contest! So people not always vote for the countries they like, but also for a song. Unfortunately jury rarely like the same song as the voters. I think that's why this year and last year best songs ended up on 2nd places :P Btw Edyta Górniak was a star. She isn't so popular anymore but she's still here and there. I think she was trying to go to Eurovision this year too, but didn't make it (I don't think anybody know the song she was supposed to go with). There were no official elimination this year, no live performance. Jury just chose based on the delivered recordings of the songs, that's why Luna went to the contest (I think they choose her because she isn't very popular, although there were also Justyna Steczkowska participating who is a big star, she also was in Eurovision in the '90 I believe. I recommend to see her song that didn't make to this years Eurovision in live version - Witch-er Tarahoro). Last year song was chosen in live elimination and Edyta was a Jury president/chairwoman. The jury's choice was very controversial but after all the performance at the Final of Eurovision was pretty good.

Awsome song. Edyta Górniak has great talent. Her vibrato, colour and scale of voice is magnificent. But in therms of lyrics I think ,,Ale Jestem" by Anna Maria Jopek is better. Had Eurovision been a contenst for the wisest and beautiful song she should have won. But mostly some generic pop song wins coz it is rigded due to jury. Jury is a bunch of talentless pompous buffons.

@@Martin46869 Akurat to słynne zdjęcie z łamaniem szlabanu było ustawką. Nie miało nic wspólnego z dniem wkroczenia wojsk niemieckim i atakiem na Polskę... Nie było wtedy wykonane ale znacznie później. To była sesja fotograficzna, miała na celu pokazanie jak łatwo było im wkroczyć i zaatakować Polaków, bo wcale się nie bronili i wystarczyło tylko złamać szlaban... Poczytaj o tym

She is not as good as you think , voice is strong but there is a problem with breathing.

Edyta jest nadal bardzo popularna w Polsce. Wydała kilka płyt, było coś tam więcej z przebojów niż ten z Eurowizji, ale od lat śpiewa w tv głównie jakieś covery. Od lat nie nagrała nic nowego. Niestety staje się pośmiewiskiem wśród młodych bo zaczyna dużo mówić o duchowości, o Bogu. Ostatnio zasłynęła z tekstu, że żyje 4000 lat i cała Polska się z tego śmieje. Niestety zmarnowany talent.
