German Shepherd Becca Needs a Home - adopt Becca super sweet dog

Becca is a female German Shepherd at the West LA Shelter that needs a home. They say she is 9. years old, but I would say she's closer to 6. I met her and found her very friendly and fun. She loves running around the yard and loved taking treats. My friend Cori, the supervisor at the shelter told me she's seen her with children and other dogs and she was great.
I think she's one of those rare dogs that is just ready to go home and start living with a family. I love her!

I really love your videos - they are informative and funny. And Becca is amazing. And you are right - I am a female and after I adopted two dogs, I don’t really need men anymore 🤣 Dogs are best friends anyways! Becca, I will try to ask around for you, so that you can get a home! I wish I could get you but I am not able to provide for more than two dogs at the moment 😭

I'm an old lady -- if I were closer and not still recovering from losing my Sugar Bear in January, I'd be jumping in my car and heading there before this video is even over. I know you all will make sure she lands where she'll be well loved and appreciated for the special girl she clearly is. ❤

Robert, maybe someone who lives far away over the ocean or in another country might be willing to pay the adoption fee for someone who lives closer and can adopt her. That way she can get out of the shelter.

Who made this nonsensical policy about senior only for senior dog? Because senior may pass away soon, so they want dogs that may pass away soon too? I don't understanding the reasoning. I thought for seniors, they would prefer a low maintenance adult dog. It's the temperament and energy level that is more important.

The having to be senior to adopt a senior seems like a strange policy? Might have heard that incorrectly. My dog is 41/2 yrs and he has a lot of white around his muzzle, used to be very black, so wouldn’t use that as way to guess age. Those people who work in those shelters are angels. Hope she finds a home, seems such a lovely dog.

And if she wasn't a raw fed dog and she's still got nice teeth, like you're saying Rob she's got to be younger! You know as well as I do that most of these people that surrender these dogs probably she wasn't fed Raw and if that was the case her teeth would be shot by now exclamation point she is definitely probably a younger dog who is defining how old this dog is

Robert , I'm a Shepherd person, have had Shepherds for years and if I lived In America, I would take Becca ,I think she is beautiful. Poor darling 😢, I hope she finds the best forever home. I agree with you , no way is she 10. More like 4 or maybe 5 years old. How did she end up in rescue? Someone must have loved her ?

So, you have to be a senior to adopt a senior dog? What kind of rule is that? Or did I misunderstand that part?

Just guessing but, you can probably still adopt the dog, even if you aren't a senior. You just wouldn't qualify for the special deal. Shelters sometimes offer the "seniors for seniors" programs to move animals into homes that maybe wouldn't be available because of economic reasons otherwise. The programs vary from shelter to shelter. Some even include help with vet bills for seniors.

Would you consider assisting someone out of town to get any of the shelter dogs you recommend? Someone would need to be local and adopt the dog and get it on a plane to its new home.

I doubt that to jog is 10 years old I have a male German Shepherd and I would say she's about the same age as my male who is about 4 1/2 to 5

She's definitely not 10. The gray around the nose? My dog has gray hairs under the eyes and lip. I'm not sure why that is, but I know for a fact he's only 2. 😂
