Great commentary! Agreed 100% that the manufacturer’s scope mount on the rear sight block, although functional detracts from the authenticity. It is easy enough to mount an authentic ZF4 side mount rail and scope from AAS Sniper from France. Although the installation is easy, 100% period correct reproduction and greatly improves accuracy - it might be difficult installing a scope costing more than the rifle itself. The good news is the German’s designed this scope mount with quick release throw levers and can be switched to your other historic firearm🦊

Thanks for the informative video, I was lucky enough to purchase a used one, it’s on its way to me now. GSG discontinued this model, so they are becoming a rare find!

The 2 bars on the side of the rear sight mount are the same as the STG 44,& MP 43. The one on the right has a notch. They didn't hold up well on the real thing, so they probably won't on these either. I have the GSG 5, GSG 5pk, ISSC MK22 made by GSG,& the GSG STG44. They do a really great job at making .22 clones. Walther makes good .22 clones also. I have their IWI UZI .22 & Hk P. They are both great, but I wish they would have used thicker barrels like GSG does.

My buddy bought the mp5k 22lr and the rear sight ring broke off inthe truck from just being stored. Crappy plastic ring

Not the mp5 22lr. Its a gsg16 22. The rear sight broke off.

@@dalanwanbdiska6542 the gsg 16 is built totally different. I agree it's cheap

I scoped mine with a Mp 5/HK Claw Scope Mount (take the stock off and it will right on). For the scope I used a KONUS Pro7260 2X7X32 with 30/30 reticle. Works like a charm! I saw it on KZfaq 😊

The title is confusing, I had to read it a couple of times. My first thought was why would they chamber it in .44 rimfire, that’s very hard ammo to find. Ha

Good video, all much better worded than I could. I noticed you said it was the nearest you would get to an MP44, but do you realise there is a straight pull UK legal version in the original7.92 kurz caliber ? It is an excellent very good copy, all steel construction. I am not sure how easy they are to get now, but I have had mine 15 years now and got an FG42 in 7.92 x 57mm a bit later.

What company makes these UK legal reproductions you're talking about? I'm very interested.
@glenstg4 ай бұрын
@@doow11 They are a German company called Sport-Systeme Dittrich. They called the MP44 the BD44 and the FG42 the BD42. I think you would love them although they were expensive. I antiqued the stock and use a genuine magazine as the repro one did not function well. Good luck

@@doow11 I put a very short video of me firing it at Bisley on KZfaq years ago. Look up MP44 straight pull. They make loads more too, like K43 and MP38, though not sure if that would be legal. I have an old spec MP44 and their reproduction is bang on.
