We'll be taking a look at the German Sport Guns .22LR clone of the StG-44, the world's first assault rifle. Brought into the U.S. commercial market by American Tactical Imports, these Sturmgewehr 44 look alikes mimic the iconic feel and weight of the originals with this well built rifle. hese GSG made rifles were maintained from roughly 2012 to 2019 and are one of the few successful attempts at recreating this rifle for history buffs to enjoy.

@@GarandGuy2553 Back when I was 15 I was able to use a authentic one during a WW2 reenactment. That was over 30 years ago and I can still remember everything about that firearm, it was just amazing. Full auto with blanks was hella fun for a teenager HAHAH. I wish I still knew the owner, he also owned a FG42 ( which he used during reenactments ). I would love to own a real MP44. I think when I was 15 you could pick one up for $ 5k? If I only knew the future lol

Blueline solutions is now importing the STG 44 .22lr. I just purchased one. Blueline is also importing other GSG firearms such as the MP 40 in .22,& the MP 40 9mm pistol. Also the AK 47 .22. GSG used to make the ISSC MK22 for ISSC. Now they are making it with a different stock that Blueline imports. It's called the Mauser 15. In short all GSG firearms have a new importer,and new names starting with Mauser.
@GarandGuy2553

Yeah, I read up on the some of the changes. From what I understand now, if it’s in the US and GSG branded then it’s imported through ATI. If its in Canada and branded GSG, then Blue Line is the importer. If its in the US and branded Mauser, then Blue Line is the importer. So I wasn’t actually aware that the newly imported STG44’s were Mauser branded. Just going online and looking at picture of them, you can see “Mauser” written right above the magazine insert which is interesting. I do need to order some spare parts so I’m wondering if I should contact ATI or Blueline now.
@hgarza1136
@hgarza1136 2 жыл бұрын
@@GarandGuy2553 best bet for new parts would probably be Blueline. ATI hasn't had spare parts for a long time. Blueline also brought in the 110 Rd. Drum for the ISSC MK22, " Mauser 15". Never thought it would happen. Remember seeing one at shot show year's ago,but they never ended up in the States.

@@GarandGuy2553 Very good informative video by the way. I am actually in Alderney just off Guernsey in the Channel Islands but as for this rifle the rules of ownership are the same as the u.k i believe. I have the 25 and 10 round magazines other than the barrel end treaded cap there are no differences. I wish they’d bring back their MP-40s with some improvements, like maybe make the charging handle and everything more accurate to the real thing and fix some of the workmanship issues they had with the plastic housing. I also wish someone somewhere made a .22lr P38 just as a cheaper alternative to a real one. I gotta say tho this STG looks better than the MP-40s ive seen from them

GSG has one for 9mm PAK which are just blanks. I’m fairly certain they’re made as reenactor guns because of Europe’s strong regulations on semi-automatic rifles. Rifles chambered in 9mm PAK can’t chamber rounds with actual projectiles.
