Latvia really stepped up when they had the knife against the throat. Germany's performance in this match today was also something that completely blew my mind, considering their earlier upset victory against Finland. Unbelivable.

Just to make myself clear, i am just a little baffled over how badly Germany got crushed by Latvia. But, surprising results like this is what makes hockey such a fun sport to watch. Latvia showed pure determination during the match. @@darkazon5343

Love Latvia. I feel they are top 8. Growing up we had the 6. Canada of course, Soviet Union, Czechs and Swedes were about even, and then U.S. and Finland. The Germany came along. The Swiss are getting up there and now Latvia. Of course now it's Russia Czechia and Slovakia. It's getting better. It's getting less boring expecting Canada to win. Although my brother only got silver at the world juniors back in the mid 80's.

This makes me wonder though who will finish 3rd, 4th and 5th should Finland, Latvia and Germany finish with the same record? After all, Latvia beats Germany, Finland beats Latvia and Germany beats Finland. So who gets 3rd, 4th and 5th?

It's based on the goal differential in games between these three teams. Currently, it puts Finlad 3rd, Latvia 4th and Germany 5th. Germany now need to score a point against Canada to get to QF.

@alberthamel6039 they dropped prices down to 30 kr (~3 USD/Euro) a few days ago. It's the only game at Scandinavium that day and in between big games of SWE-CAN and SWE-FIN. A lot of people I talked to were using it as a rest/sight-seeing day.
