Really cool to see it finally coming together. If it wasn't for the Moroun family it would be built by now. Sadly those crooks love delaying progress they cannot profit from

Wrong, he will drop the cost of crossing on his bridge to a few bucks. It will cost a fortune to use the new one.

@@carbidegrd1 Well he is dead so hard to do. Also hard to compete with a bridge directly hooked up to the highway system over having to sit in traffic for 30 plus mins. When it comes to $ its the truck traffic that makes the difference.

Nice report.. Keep up the good work...with updates ..interviews with workers. Who are they? Always interesting to hear. Some workers are a long way up. Anyone afraid of heights?

Why not shape the pillars like a hockey stick? Looks like they could easily do it. Gordie would be well honored for generations

I wonder what will open first. The Gordie Howe bridge or the Eglington LRT. My bets are for the bridge. No government agency involved.

I really hope they turn the ambassador to commercial only, or atleast one crossing commercial only, it's desperately needed.

Naming a bridge after Gordie Howe? That's just asking for road rage, fights and cheap shots. And, when the guys from Chicago, New York, Toronto, Montreal and Boston arrive.... it'll be a brawl.

Could have come up with a better name, most people don't care about some old hockey player from several generations ago. A name like Ambassador says friendship between our two countries, a lot more relevant.

Why did this not saw connecting Detroit to Windsor instead of to Canada. Doesn't connect all of Canada any more than it connects Windsor to all of USA.

The drilling beneath the bridge has caused the water level to rise on the American side where citizens fish and launch their boats.
