Another location I guess one can go to, to get a Brute Tigrex egg early even at a 5 star level that isn't from a royal monster that I found was the cliff den in the middle of the ocean on Hokolo Island called "Spire Rock Everden", but that was also right after the event when Ratha finally learned to fly.

I love Brute Tigrex. It's definitely one of my favorite monsters in the series. Problem is that he's a power type and I need type variety for my team. So unfortunately I'll have to keep him on the expedition grind while I use the regular Tigrex until I find something to replace some of my other monsters with exploration abilities

Why dont you just give your brute tigy speed move gene or tech move gene or both so instead changing monstie you could stay using the same monstie but that monstie cover all attack type. My narga, reg tigrex, zamitros, zinogre and legiana had all attack types. So all I need to change is when I need their specific map skill

@@br4n905senkugo Hmm……for PVE you can choose one from this build, make your tigrex an abnormal status hitter or crit hitter. For abnormal, you can use paralyze fang from gendrome or poison tail from rathian for speed atk and arachnophobia(poison or/and para) from shrouded nerscylla or thousand blades(bleed) from seregios for tech. For crit just like mine, I use killer tail from narga or ruined spike from nergigante for speed atk and killer crush from apceros/paolomu or thousand blades from seregios.

is it just me or is brute tigrex way easier than the other royals, i literaly first tried him with reverto on my team, while still in the story mode. So is reverto just busted or is brute just easy

I’ve been trying to use traps on these Royal monsters but every time I get told that traps don’t work on these monsters. Is that an update they made to make the Royal’s harder, or am I just putting the traps down at the wrong times?

You're probably just setting them up at the wrong times. You have to use the right traps with the correct attack type. Shock traps are triggered by power attacks, Pitfall traps are triggered by speed attacks and so on. But abilities like rock thrower, which doesn't fit into any of the 3 attack types cannot trigger a trap. Also, you can't trap them when they're enraged. Some monsters can't be trapped at all.

So, when can I start messing around with genes? I have put several hours into the game already and I was not aware of this. I am aware of the 3x3 grid thing, but I didn’t know anything about it until watching a couple of your videos. I am still very early in the game in the Mahana Village area.

You unlock gene manipulation around halfway through Alcala/early Loloska, which is relatively soon after the first village

Check your monstiepedia. It shows a list of all genes you duscovered from each monstie you encountered.

@@thelonemask imo is better to farm the monsties once you are in the postgame because they will have better gens and they will be probably better in everything compared to early game monsties
