I just went and started tinkering with an old Neptune 3 today (upgrading to Klipper to see if it would solve an issue with the bed mesh causing the nozzle to grind into the bed). Assuming I get it working, this may be one of the very next upgrades I do

Yeah, it's my dad's old Neptune 3 (non-pro) he ended up replacing it rather quickly cause for some reason whenever he ran a bed mesh, the results would be vastly different every time and then if you ran a print, the nozzle would just crash into the bed and grind. He had gone through 3 different beds by the time he gave up on it. Setting z offset didn't help with it. The only solution was to factory reset the entire printer whenever he needed to run a new bed mesh. I decided today to just see if Klipperizing it would fix that problem, or if it is going to end up being a hardware problem and not a firmware issue.

When or what scenarios should you consider doing upgrades like this to your printer? (Currently using Neptune 4 pro)

A couple of good scenarios are if you want to increase flow, printing faster or with bigger nozzles. You are also improving the quality of prints generally as well as helping to reduce clogs and jams because of their special heatbreak.

A single set screw is the entire attachment point? That doesn't sound great long term but time will tell I guess.

Why don't you have any before and after prints in the video? Makes it hard to see how much of an improvement this is.

I started the upgrade before I remembered… but since we film so much content, I figured I must have some prints from it somewhere, and of course, we searched and didn’t find them. The 3D printed axe video we did was printed on this machine.

Elegoo Neptune 3? or 3 Pro, Plus or Max? i dont think it will work on the Neptune 3 (bowden printer)

Slice compatibility page shows Neptune 3 and Pro, I upgraded my Max.
