Maximus better then the limiter for me because I use FL asio instead of asio4all when I export my beats it don't sound distorted and it's loud

@@prosperprosperprosper I used to use asio4all most use it but I think it's a mind thing fl asio just as good or better I been making better beats with fl asio and 808's sound good to me I lately been using the soft clipper also on my master

@@jamellkennedy5017 theres no sound difference between asio4all and fl studio asio. it sounds like you have the setting "clip past 0db" on. or your exporting beats past 0db because thats where the difference comes into play. they can either clip past 0db (distort), limit past 0db, or play its full volume past 0db. and maybe one of them doesnt give you access to that setting.

@@covinobeats I gave up on using maximus and limiter I now only use a soft clipper on default setting to make sure it don't clip and turn my velocity on 808's to max like most it suck but it can trick us on what sound the best depending on our speakers or headphones I see why some go by db mainly for mastering it also helped me on leveling by comparing my beats to others

Turn down the kick, or take off/ lower whatever compression or soft clipping you got on there.

What frequencies should you eq on the master track to leave room for vocals

around the 200Hz and the 800Hz areas, but whatever sounds good

@@wneup So just sweep those areas n take out a little bit ? Also what about compressor on master channel what are some settings to glue the track together

@@toreywilliams6760 1. take down those frequencies SLIGHTLY (shoudln't be more than 1db, but once again, do what sounds right) 2. for master compression, try Maximus. it's POWERFUL for mastering in general
