Fine lesson! When we say 'Get him out,' 'Come right in' and 'Take it on' would we be using these phrasal verbs in phrasal verb form? To me, they are being used as imperatives.
@Englishwithjennifer
@Englishwithjennifer 3 жыл бұрын
True! Some use "get out" as a transitive phrasal verb to mean "remove." I decided to use the most common meanings as listed by Professor Dilin Liu. It's tempting to list them all, but then there would be too many. Certainly many phrasal verbs are used in the imperative.

We're all getting older. There are times when I look very tired, and then I look my true age. I was very tired when my children were younger, and I couldn't sleep through the night very often. My hairstylist also helped me make the decision to change my hairstyle, and that was an improvement, I think. Ha ha.

Hi. Here are some good tips from me and from other teachers. www.englishwithjennifer.com/study-tips/ When you listen or read, focus on the main ideas first. Don't worry if you don't understand every single word. When you learn vocabulary, learn common phrases with new words (collocations). These bigger pieces of language make it easier to put your thoughts together.

Yes, as a society, we can get stuck in a rut. Let's hope we can get out of it by 2022. Correction: seems to have gotten into a rut (past time frame) Suggestion: scientists have found a cure (OR a vaccine) so that we can get out of this endless nightmare. You have very good vocabulary!
