I started following you while you were in nursing school and I was doing my pre-req’s. Now you’re a year and 8 months in L+D and I’m 9 months in L+D. Also a level 4 L+D unit and I totally get what you are saying that you’ve seen higher acuity patients more consistently because so have we. It’s hard to do everyday! Congratulations on your upcoming 2 years 🎉🎊🍾!

Jackie, you are very genuine. just started working in ldrp and it is different. i hve previous nursing experience too. this unit changes me everyday. i feel mixed happy and sad. always questioning should i be there.

I feel you on wanting to take a step back part! I’ve been on an LDRP unit for 13 months & the past few months have been exhausting! I’m moving to big city that only has high risk L&D floors and I’m second guessing if I wanna do L&D or step away from bedside 😅

I completely understand, it is so mentally exhausting dealing with such difficult cases. Make sure you do what you feel is best for you!!
