1. Delivering a baby is the most empowering thing I’ve ever experienced. You’re tougher than you realize. 2. It’s ok if you’re a little sad when you find out the gender. You’re getting a gift of one but also letting go of the idea of the other. Totally normal.

I genuinely appreciate your kindness in talking about how long it took you to get pregnant. It was very sweet to be mindful of those who struggle to get pregnant. I have unexplained infertility and it took me 9 yrs to get pregnant with my twins after I lost my first baby and you're kindness and humbleness was so refreshing. Congrats on your sweet baby boy!!!!!

I didn't know what either one of my kids was until they popped out. My kids are 42 and 39 and back when i had them i never even had an ultrasound. They just didn't do them unless they were looking for something. The first time i got pregnant, me and my 3 sisters were all pregnant together. We all had boys and they're all 42 now!!!

Same! 1st was c-section, following 9 were not, I was afraid every time because it’s such a big event and miracle! Don’t let the fear take over, but it’s ok to feel it. Lean on your husband, that’s one of the few things that he can help you with and he’ll certainly want to help you (and for those who do this without a partner, lean on your loved ones, you are not alone)!

I feel like my life didn’t truly begin until I had children. It’s beautiful, amazing, empowering and you will learn more about yourself and your partner than you will ever realize. Childbirth, postpartum, and parenting young children are the hardest things I’ve ever done, but worth every minute!

Kelly, Congratulations! Childbirth is the most transformative experience, there is nothing to compare it to. And there is nothing I can say to help you understand how transformative it is until you experience it for yourself. I think that the more you learn about what your body is doing to bring your child earthside, the more you will cast your fears aside. Your OB is not delivering your baby, YOU are. You are not a patient in a hospital, you are a mother doing the most bad a** thing you will ever do in your life. There are so many moments along my motherhood journey that are hazy (sleep is ever elusive) but I remember clear as day the moment I delivered each of my children and held their tiny bodies on me. I know it’s a feeling that will be with me until the day I take my last breath. All the positive vibes your way 💞

The giving birth portion is something every woman is scared of, don’t let it scare you too bad. The birthing process is difficult of the body, we all know that, but having given birth twice, I don’t remember much of either. Bother were average of 8-10 hours of labor then the delivery. I remember bits and pieces of both, but what I remember the most is when they put my girls on my chest each time, I was the happiest woman on earth! You are stronger than you know and remember that you have a wonderful gift at the end of the process and your life will change forever. But you will love it!

I loved my labour and all that went through my head was he's coming into this world so soon. I'd look into hypnobirthing for sure as the breathing techniques honestly helped me so much! I found out that I had to give up trying to be in control of what would go on during labor & delivery. I put all my trust in my Doctor & nurse team. I also learned not to listen to ALL the stories of agony- i also stopped getting nails done while kids were diaper age- it would be impossible not to scratch the babies- best advice is walk everyday to keep your leg muscles strong- that was so true in making the push easier!

Kelly thank you so much for this video 🤍 I am 25, have been with my boyfriend for 10 years and also have PCOS. It is a big fear of mine that even though I am not ready to be a mom at the moment, but to have it difficult due to the PCOS when the time comes, and I stress about this a lot, which makes me wonder sometimes if it is already too late, or if I should try even though I am not quite ready yet. This video has put me into a different perspective, and for that I thank you so much🤍 now I feel more comfortable to wait and know that when the right time comes, it might not even be a struggle at all and everything will just fall into place.

Thank you for the time stamp love. I’m so excited for you guys. When I was 29 we tried for a year then I had emergency surgery for what my dr thought was an ovarian cyst turned out I had stage IV endometriosis & both of my ovaries were the size of oranges w endo. 4 surgeries later in 18mos also still trying w fertility treatments I ended up having to have a total hysterectomy at 31😭 All I ever wanted to be was a mother plus I was a labor & delivery RN. I couldn’t go to any friends baby showers or walk past a baby section for years but I’m ok now. Just wanted to share if anyone is reading this as well that it does get better if you never can have children and you will get to be so happy again inside for others pregnancies (not that I was never happy I was just envious) So glad you’re feeling better and can’t wait to see what the gender is of this little one. I think it’s a girl imo😉 A lil Kelly would be the cutest lil thing. You’re such a girly girl👸🏼 xoxo❤

I have 4 kids and every time I decided not to let myself think too much about the labor process because, like you said, it does absolutely no good cause there is no getting out of it 😅. It has been a good policy for me and (other than labor classes and learning helpful techniques) I just don’t even think about it until I’m actually in labor - it has really helped me be able to enjoy all of my pregnancies to the fullest! 🥰

Kelly, look into birthing centers around you and see if there are any that would fit what you want. The one next to me is highly rated and connect to a hospital for emergency situations, but the birthing center itself is like a living room: big beds, big bathtubs, and a relaxed atmosphere. I'm just over halfway with my 3rd kid now, and this will be my first time using the birthing center. I'm so excited!

I was the complete opposite lol. With my 2 boys I wasn't very sick, but I had acne (I don't normally) My hair was greasy all the time and ohhhh the chin hairs!! With my daughter I was so sick, but my skin was glowing and beautiful.. my hair was so lush and pretty! As far as being terrified of birth....my best advice is don't have too rigid of a plan. I worked as a postpartum nurse and i think birth plans are great...but the moms with really rigid plans or really high expectations of their plans can end up disappointed or anxious with the process. The goal is a healthy baby and you definitely won't care once the baby is in your arms 💗

My grandparents had 11 kids and my grandmother always said one of us needed to follow her footsteps. I have 2 bio children, a 24yo daughter and a 22yo son. I now also have a 3yo daughter, 2yo twins one of each, and a 11 month old daughter that we are adopting. They are my nieces kids. So I guess I'm the closest to having the amount of kids my grandparents had. An epidural can be your best friend.

My son just turned 3 in February, but when I was pregnant, I wasn't sick at all. I had gastroperesis, a partially paralyzed digestive system before I got pregnant, so I could barely eat and threw up multiple times a day. I was blessed it went away when I was pregnant and has not come back. I knew I was expecting when I was starving after months of not wanting to eat at all from that disorder. I knew from the beginning I was having a boy. I just felt it in my bones lol if that makes sense. Luckily, after a few days in the NICU, since he was born a month early, we are both happy and healthy. I am better and he is a wonderful, happy little guy. I was terrified of the birth, but more scared of being pregnant in general and I waited till I was 36 to have a child, I was so scared of the whole process. With medication and all that, the birth itself was not bad. It was after that was the rocky part for me. I had some issues with my blood sugar dropping very fast and my son being sent to a different hospital wo me bc mine did not have its own NICU. His dad got to go with him thankfully. Congratulations to you both!!! ❤

My son was born 2 and a half weeks early. You just never know, every pregnacy is different. Just enjoy it and listen to your body. No one is prepared for the birth and I mean no one. Just keep your mind open and relax. He/She has the control over what happens so no use worrying😁 So happy you are doing so well ❤❤❤

We didn’t find out what we were having with our first but we did with our second- partly because we had no idea of a second boys name so wanted to be prepared! Tbh, I liked both ways. I’m also quite shocked I’m a boy mum (I have a sister and girl cousins) but I just love it. I have a fantastic husband who is a wonderful dad and I’m excited to be bringing up two men who will hopefully carry those traits into their own families one day. I think the best/worst thing about parenthood is the excitement of them learning new things, growing and having new experiences, but in a strange way I also grieve my little babies. I’m so glad we now have easy ways to photo and video our children as I feel like I would forget what they were like were it not for my phone. Although neither of mine slept through the night until they were 2.5 so maybe I was just tired 🙈. Enjoy every second of this chapter of your life. It can be so hard and overwhelming when they are tiny, even when they get older, but it is the best thing you’ll ever do ❤. Watching a great husband become a great dad is also the absolute best ❤. I wrote this 👆🏻before I watched the whole video. I was in the same boat as you getting pregnant. I kind of feel we’re now in a time when it’s absolutely normal to talk about struggles getting pregnant but no one talks about it just happening 😂. So I do think it makes women worry more- so I’m glad you’ve said it was easy for you. I think we feel like problems are ‘the norm’ as there is such a saturation of this online- I’m incredibly glad that it’s there as it’s certainly helped to educate me and must help others- but it’s also absolutely fine to just get pregnant and talk about it.

I got cravings in later pregnancy and it was lime fizzy pop (soda) super cheap stuff I would usually detest!

I was afraid then too and I hate hospitals too, but when it came to that time you don’t even think about it anymore.

We didn't know with both our kids (now grown up) and it was the best surprise ever. I'm not having any more kids but I would do it again that way if it was possible!

So happy for you! My kids are all very close in age and that has been a lot of fun. I have to say that I have girls and a boy and my pregnancies weren’t that different. I grew up with a sister and it has been all girls in my family (including cousins etc) and I thought I wanted all girls because it was what I knew. I had the first boy and I am SO happy to have a son. There is truth to the mama’s boy and the relationship between a mother and son. I treasure it. I treasure my girls too (one daddy’s girl, one mama’s girl) but I am thankful God blessed me with the experience of both. An epidural was my best friend although I respect every women’s choice in the matter. For me, I felt able to be more present with an epidural because I wasn’t in pain.

I'm so happy for you, fellow Jersey Girl! I was feeling Boy, even before you mentioned anything! I can picture a little blonde haired boy that looks like you! I find a lot of boys look like their moms, and little girls looking like their dads! Next baby, I'm feeling girl, with light brown hair and eyes, and looking like Stephen! I'm SO glad you're sticking with Makeup on your channel! I don't have kids (still waiting for Mr. Right), and I enjoy the sprinklings of baby topics, but especially the makeup.

I was terrified of the actual giving birth process, mainly because I hate needles and I planned on having an epidural. I just want to try to reassure you that it is not scary. I know every birthing story is different but mine was truly amazing and once they lay that beautiful baby that you created, nothing else matters. I’m so happy for you both and I look forward to seeing all of what you share with us. 😊

I like that idea for the gender reveal! I think it’s cute to keep it just you two and then tell your friend and fam. That’s similar to how my husband and I did it. Congrats again! Enjoy the second trimester! It’s definitely the best (easiest) one in my opinion 😉 oh and ps, I craved nothing but sweets (which I typically don’t care anything about)…had a girl & most of the wives tales pointed that way for me so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was more scared to give birth to my 2nd child than i was my first 😂 made no sense to me! But honestly just remember to advocate for yourself and what YOU want and are comfortable with! DONT let any ody pressure you into doing something you dont like/want. So many women forget that they have voices when it comes to labor and just obey the doctors every wish & command. Its YOUR body, your pregnancy and YOUR baby so you advocate for YOU!!! Im so happy for yall 🎉❤ i cant wait to possibly see the baby bump 😊
