It is ghetto out there in the dating world! I'm a 36 single, child-free woman and I've just given up. Just filling my time with my interests and focusing on making more money and expanding my skills.

Don't get discouraged with the job search. I think the job seeker market just sucks right now. I've had friends that have been looking for a long time with no luck, and I've seen KZfaq videos that it's really hard to get a decent job right now. Housing is so unaffordable right now. Rent for a little apartment in my area is literally 2-3x what the mortgage is on my large 2 story house.

I’m a widow. I was widowed 20 years ago at 38. I have 2 daughters so I didn’t date anyone for 8 years after my husband died. I focused strictly on my kids. I didn’t want to bring men into their lives that might not stay. I did the dating apps and frankly all I ran into were guys that wanted to hook up. I did meet a few nice men but didn’t date anyone more than a few months. Now at 59 I’m not interested. I like my life. I like my alone time. I don’t want someone controlling my free time.

That dating sounds like so many bad signs. The fact they said they were in a Divorce but not complete and on a dating site would be a bad sign. I would have gone to friends before even going to dating at that point.

jus randomly came across your channel and this video and wanted to share my whole take on calling a first meeting as a “date”… the word date comes with expectations which will affect how you act, talk and interact. If you call it a meeting or a meetup it will erase all those expectations and you’ll more likely be yourselves. It might seem silly but its all psychological and seems to work for me. Also that guy had no business asking you when you last had sex bc simply its none of his damn business. Red flag right there. Anyway hope your date went well!

I always said it was better to be single than settle for the wrong person. You have too much to offer to settle! I was dating a lot before I met my husband, and I won't go into all the crazy horror stories, but I had sworn off dating when I met him because of my experiences. I was done! You just never know how life will go.

i love your channel. I did end up getting married after meeting someone on an App but every one of these stories is something I went through. None of it made any sense. I think a lot of these men in our age range have been married, they have kids, they are divorcing or divorced and now these apps are like a huge buffet and they are on to the next thing quicker then you pick a place to meet. I was so over it.

I'm not into the whole non-monogamy thing (ENM). I appreciate when people are up front and honest with what they want but I would never settle for that. Also, never meet a guy at their place for the first meeting. Doesnt matter what excuse they give, just dont do it...social anxiety? whatever. Then dont date... haha I'm done with dating sites for the time being. I just think its a waste of time. Not sure if I will ever go back. I have no horror stories but truly feel like I'm just wasting my time on them. Nothing ever works out

Rebecca i feel like you dont mind a guy you are romantically involed with to have other people because deep down you feel like thats what you have to accept to have a parner your independence has nothing to do with it. Youre 35 and never had a long term relationship i dont think you like being an option instead of a choice. Just my humble opinion
