I quit dairy products about 7 years ago, and my sinus issues all but went away. Prior they were always stuffed up. In addition, I didn't get sick again for nearly 2 years after quitting the dairy. Typically I would have 2 colds a year on the average. I get sick a lot less now!

@@tjgrafiks Except that it isn't for 99.9% of humans. In fact it is the LEAST inflammatory food that has anywhere near the level of bioavailable nutrition that it has. Unfortunately, the dieticians and the medical-industrial complex are doing everything possible to demonize meat and prop up low-nutrition proce$$ed plant foods. It is up to each of us to educate ourselves and test what works for us, as the medical system is deeply corrupted.

I was able to drop my cholesterol by 41 points and avoided taking a statin by eliminating all dairy from my diet. I do allow myself to have half and half and sugar in my coffee, an occasional slice of cheese pizza, and macaroni and cheese around the holidays. Switched to almond milk for drinking and for use in high fiber cereals like Kashi. I try to avoid processed foods, ( we all slip at times- thanks for your balanced approach!), eat meat as an ingredient in meals, rather than the main portion, and increased my intake of fruits and vegetables including garlic, onions, ginger, avocados, cherries, blueberries, lentils, seeds and nuts. I also try to drink 2-3 quarts of liquids per day, in the form of water, unsweetened iced tea, or seltzer to avoid sugar, artificial sweeteners, or drinking my calories. At 57, sticking with regular exercise for strength, tone, and flexibility has been the most difficult part for me. Your videos, with short, simple and targeted exercises have been so motivating! I went out and bought an exercise mat yesterday, and plan to follow your videos regularly. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy life to do this.

A few years ago, I started experiencing really intense heartburn when starting my runs. It would usually go away after about 10-15 minutes of running. I started to dread running. One way around it was to do a short bike ride before the run. Quite by accident, I discovered that eating raw ginger root (say 1" by 1" chunk) prior to the run stopped the heartburn. What a relief! Prior, I'd had a few good experiences drinking Kombucha with Turmeric prior to the run. I thought it was the Turmeric but it turns out the Kombucha was ginger flavor. It was the ginger that was helping.

Do a search for CSA and Eleuthero tinctures and order some of that in addition to some form of Resveratrol supplement. The bacteria responsible for what we call Lyme disease consumes the collagen in our body. That's why the symptoms are transient and present differently as time goes on. Supplementing collagen and liposomal vitC will help speed its repair. Stephen Buhner has the best info on lyme and its coinfections that I've found. Run that gear, take Dr. Kristies advice on diet and be patient with your body. You can heal from it but recovery is a long road.

Kristie: You mention 4 types of fat: saturated, unsaturated, transfat, and one other I can't remember its name. But you didn't give examples of each. For simplicity* please tell us which common fats are the healthy ones and which the unhealthy. Thank you. *The best city to live in.
@drkristieennis
@drkristieennis 3 жыл бұрын
Typically, foods like nuts, fatty fish, and avocados, olive oil (mostly mono and polyunsaturated fat) tend to be the type of fat to aim for the most. Artificial Trans fats are definitely not so great in the body and lots of foods are eliminating them. Typically they are found in pre packaged baked goods and fried foods. Anything that says hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oil also counts as trans fat.

kristie ennis :; they say I don’t have lymes . I did have RMSF from a tick in 2015. The doctor just doesn’t know what it is. I eat pretty good, drink water mostly. My job is physical so after work I am unusually done for most of the day. I take lots of vitamins and few herbs. It’s just weird to be stiff and sore in my muscles, and having that soreness and tenderness when I rub many different areas even my stomach muscles. I have had chiropractic, massage therapy. I do need to get back to those two things.

@@melindaturner3311 just a thought, if you consume large amounts of diet soda or coffee, it depletes magnesium. I've also read that intake of larger amounts of calcium, vitamin D or zinc can also decreases magnesium absorption. Low magnesium can contribute to muscle cramping and tenderness. I've personally cut back on dairy and grains and I find I have less muscle cramping, but I've increase my intake of nuts and healthy fats. Incorporating magnesium rich foods that don't cause inflammation has helped me. I always look at natural fixes first and go from there to see if it makes a positive change.

Going keto has helped with ME/fibromyalgia pain and inflammation and have very low carbs, which is sugar, no added sugars and high healthy fats. So yeah, that debunks much of your theory. If you watch The Diet Doctor on YT, a cardiologist who interviews other doctors, specialists and researchers re keto and health benefits that may help.

Good question. @@Enzo-tg8uo A friend of mine who is a type 2 diabetic advises he is allowed by his physician to eat fruit. But he isn't permitted to eat two fruit servings at once. "Health experts point out that the sugar in whole fruit is not associated with any adverse health effects, primarily because of how the fiber in the fruit slows down the body's absorption of the sugar." Lemons and Limes don't contain much sugar, only a gram or two per lemon or lime.
