The *"Martin Landau"* segment was ABSOLUTLEY HILARIOUS! I'm sure the cast of *"Mission: Impossible!"* were totally doubled over laughing watching that episode!

I could watch 99 all day long. And her speaking Chinese is priceless.

Great show and still holds up well. Max is a wonderful character and Adams was perfect in it.

Smart: And you need electricity for that. Have you got a key? Chief: A key. Yes. Here. Smart: Have you got a kite? Chief: Have you got a storm, Ben Franklin? Pure gold. Still hilarious.

One of the funniest shows ever.

Loved the meta moment of bringing Martin Landau, Mission: Impossible's star, to be Max's "perfect face for a secret agent".

Max and 99 were perfectly cast. No way would Get Smart be as funny if 99 was a man or another female. Their chemistry was as good as any couple ever. Its hard for me to find fault with this show. Don Rickles, The bumbling, accident waiting to happen admiral had me crying, and....loving it!

Barbara's styles were so 60's 🤗

I laugh harder now than I did 50+ years ago, but I was only about 3 or 4 back then!!! LOL!!! And I LOVE that Max's "sports car" is a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia, as opposed to James Bond's Aston Martin!!

When FTA was really worth it. A "golden age" so to speak, of American tv comedy. Batman, Adams Family, Munster's etc .Unforgettable. Thanks to all involved, still laughing, and what's better than that? Now i gotta and eat some "baked beans", it'll give me a little personal satisfaction.

A great show, bring it back on TV it is a thousand times better than the rubbish that is showing now.

12:04 - A friend was literally just telling me on the phone how he was watching episodes of Get Smart on his t.v. and he talked about this exact scene of 99 dropping the whole tablecloth onto the floor to get the guys attention. xD

I loved we got 99 punching Max during their honeymoon phased. We so needed more of those moments before she got pregnant with the twins.

my brother was very young at the time. He loved to watch the introduction esp when maxwell's nose gets hit by the door at the end..

My favorite was in the episode with the Indian uprising when Max discovered their base and they had an intercontinental ballistic arrow on the launchpad.

Not one Miss America had more appeal than Miss Feldon & no comedy show had better writers. Still hilarious 1/2 century later 🤣

Always loved how 99 had a crush on him before they got married which was a big mistake. Lol Max may had done and said alot of dum things but the man was very intelligent. I remember when the cable channel TV Land ran a weekend marathon of this series and I enjoyed watching all the episodes it's one of my favorite old shows.

99 was such a classy woman. As a boy, I of course had a crush on her.

The short clip @ 2:54 shows the corner of 7th Ave. and 42nd St NYC. The building in the upper frame is 1481 Broadway (although not ON Broadway, missed it by THAT much Chief...). In the 60's that building was home to WOR-TV9 and Times Sq. Studios in the late 80's - that's when I worked there. The Times Sq. redevelopment plan demolished that building and a 50+ story glass skyscraper occupied by Reuters now. BTW - well done piece!

One joke so good they used it twice involved a wall map full of pushpins, used to mark the locations of crimes. One pin near the top seemed to be there doing nothing, and the Chief wanted it removed because it was "confusing"... but, despite protests, when pulled, said pin was revealed to be holding the map to the wall! Bam, the whole works tumbled to the ground. I wager it was the one time Max could be said to know better than the Chief.

I used to watch this show on nick in the early 90s when I was in my teens so watching these clips after not seeing a full length episode in decades makes me feel younger. However that clip at the 8:00 mark I don’t think that would fly today. In the storyline, what was the cause of that?

And "Duc de Salain" offering Joan Collins the champagne Veuve Cliquot at a casino in "7 Thieves"...
